.

Gaudino's installed a transmission in our Volvo XC90 in liaison with Guardian Warranty. After having the vehicle since the 2nd of July, I was finally able to collect the car on the 28th of July. On first driving the transmission seemed noisy on the lower gears, but we put this down to a different transmission making a different sound. Also we started to hear a clunk from the drivers side of the car and more concerning a loud clunk intermittently when breaking. This was all in less than 50 miles driving the car. On a closer inspection we found the following: 1. Transmission will not operate in Geartronic mode. Also the ??Winter?? mode switch does not seem to be keeping the car in lower gears as it should. 2. The top engine mounting bolt is completely missing I cannot get under the car to see if any of the others are missing. 3. All the manifolds are out of line and not secured 4. Filter and fuse covers are not fitted properly 5. Filter housing the location lug is completely broken off 6. The clunk is either the ball joint or control arm which they have damaged either removing or installing the transmission. Obviously all these things are annoying but the fact that the engine was not secure could have killed us had it broken free on the freeway. In the 3 weeks they had the car I only called 3 times which I think is pretty reasonable each time "Chuck" was rude. When we finally did call to pick up the car we were informed he wouldn't accept our credit card for the $400.00 we owed.
