A personable sales rep showed up. I wasn't too smart about windows-I just wanted one fixed because the latch broke and the screen was a mess. Because this window was beside another, it was suggested that I purchase two. I did.
The windows were not top quality nor was the installation. Very disappointed in product. Pay a little more for a really good, durable window.Screens do not have any catches -they just slide up and down. Cheap. The ones that were removed were much better than ones installed.
I did not look at any pictures not discuss design or anything. I just thought that the product would be up to standard. I was a trusting, stupid consumer. I take full responsibility for this home improvement-I assumed they were a quality window without doing my homework and I got essentially what I paid for.

My wife wanted new windows because she couldn't open our old ones. (For some of them she would have to wait till I got home so I could open them) She also wanted ones like our neighbors have that tilt-in... I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a window project, but the wife wins most of these battles. (Where are my pants! ;) ...Anyway, we had one "known" company come in because they advertised a rebate... After two hours their sales guy actually quoted me $14,000 for 13 windows!!!!!!! I told him he was frickin insane. (Later my wife said I was rude. Good! I meant to be rude!) Then he called the next day and said he could "beat" his price! I told him he should've beat his own price the first time and hung-up on him...... This takes me to Window World. I called them after getting one of their cheezy coupons in the mail. They came over and what I liked is they had all their prices spelled on a price-sheet. It wasn't like they were making up their price on the spot. Their quote was $4,300. It was still was more than I wanted to pay, but it probably wasn't going to get any cheaper unless I did it myself, and I liked this guy's approach so we signed-up. The installation went ok (The installer was very young but he proved to know what he was doing) It was supposed to take one day but ended up taking two because the 2nd guy on the crew did a no-show. It didn't really matter to us as long as it was getting done.... We're happy with the windows. They open! Bottom line... I'd recommend Window World becuase they didn't dance around with their price, they didn't make me feel like I was being cheated like the first guy did. The windows look good and work great... And most important, my wife is happy! (I gotta go find my pants)

Pros: The price, honest sales approach, the windows are fine and they do the job

Cons: They're probably not the Cadillac of windows, but my house is a Camry
