This place is good for a steak sandwich fix, but you have to remember that this is NOT a Philly steak sandwich. If you're a transplanted Philadelphian, as I am, you'll appreciate the attempt and it will satisfy your craving, but you'll still miss your steak from Pat's, Geno's, Jim's Steaks, Steve's Prince of Steaks, Tony Luke's, Gearo's or even the Center City corner lunch wagon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the shop and their steak sandwiches are very tasty, but there are some drastic differences:

1. Size - Theirs is a meager 6 inches long costing $7.50. Philly's are a foot long for a dollar less.
2. Roll - Theirs is soft and more like a dinner roll. Philly's are crunchy and chewy Amoroso Italian rolls.
3. Onions - Theirs are grilled red onions. Philly's are yellow (in most cases)
4. Temperature - Theirs is wrapped in aluminum foil and it's cold before you get to your car. Philly's is wrapped in paper and stays hot until you get to your seat in Citizens Bank Park.
5. Nutrition - Theirs tastes almost healthy. Philly's is beautifully heart stopping.

Mmm, now I got a craving for a cheesesteak with onions and American! Good thing I'm heading to Philly this weekend because I'm making a trip to Steve's at Comly and the Blvd! (Sorry Philly Flash!)
