Hey morons, i'm the one who wrote the last review.

1. I passed my test with flying colors.

2. I paid very good attention and never "screwed around."

The place is a joke and so are the instructors, in fact I wouldn't be the least surprised if one of you is a tri area driving school (lol) instructor.

I hear they got a new building though and moved out of that filthy shack. Too bad the instructors are still garbage.

Definately not recommended! The good reviews have to be from Tri-Area employees themselves! They are shady as the day is long. Check out fully before you enter into any contract with them at least with their truck driving school. Shoddy equipment and non-qualified trainers and they have complaints.

WHOEVER WROTE THE LAST REVIEW IS FULL OF S***!
first of all, they blame the teacher for doing c***k? seriously, they were obviously on c***kwhen they wrote that review.whoever did write it was the reason that the class screwed around, because they thought that they were above everyone else&didnt need to take the test, then they failed it&they just cant stop complaining about the whole thing. they just need to get over it&realize that theyre a horrible person for putting down a really good school& hurting really awsome peoples feelings when they didnt deserve it, even tho im sure whoever said it isnt worth getting worked up over anyways. the were just too immature&didnt deserve to go to that class in the first place. so seriously, the school is deffinatly a good choice to take drivers training at& the teachers are actually really awsome.&they wouldve noticed that if they actually paid attention in that class.
i think this driving school is really awsome. you learn what you need to, but it's also interesting.if you have to go somewhere every night for like four weeks, you might as well enjoy it. the teachers are really awsome. the in class instructor is very friendly&is deffinatly a people person. he keeps the class active, lively, & entertaining. the teachers teach you what to do in real life situations, but also teach you the laws.these classes you should keep an open mind about it. if you automatically decide not to like this class and right away decide to dislike your teachers&classmates, then you ruin the class for yourself &everyone else you complain to. if you keep an open mind about the class and give the teachers respect, then i think you will really enjoy the class. just because its not the most exciting part of the steps you take to get to get your drivers license, doesnt mean that its not just as important. i would recomend this class to anyone because the school is great, the classes are awsome,&the teachers think realistically&keep the class motivated.

Tri- area has one of the best schools around. The teachers and people who work in the front top grade. Who ever wrote this bad review was most likly a person that failed their written exam thinking it would be easy. The person is simply trying to make himself feel better about himself; By blaming the teachers for not teaching him. Every past student from the drivers ed classes have loved both the johns. If you are looking to enroll your student into drivers ed this is the place to be if you want them to pass. The trucking and motor cycle program is very good as well.

This place is truly TERRIBLE. As covered in previous reviews the place reeks of filth, it's dirty and the instructors are bad as well. Honestly, the instructor (Johnny B) truly isn't THAT bad and does help you. But the other John whom sadly is the main instructor is truly a complete stupid twit. He is rude, boring and just plain stupid. I'M sorry this may seem harsh but you truly have no idea how terrible this guy is. Don't forget the guy takes constant smoke breaks while you are out driving which is an absolute waste of time and the fact your taking in his disgusting second hand smoke is also a big turnoff. John lacks classroom control as well. Students are constantly talking and being disrespectful while John sits there like a donkey whining about how the students need to be quiet. Basically the review stating John spends half the time telling pointless irrelevant stories is indeed fact. I mean I understand some teachers like to tell stories and thats alright and can be entertaining but our dear friend John tells us stories about him and his old loser college friends, getting drunk, doing stupid things and telling US 14-17 year old kids how to get drunk faster by drinking beer through a straw, and after he tells us that he throws in a jokingly "But you didn't hear that from me." Did I mention he also flat out told his he's done C R A C K? The guy who gave this shack five stars, I don't know what he was on when he wrote this but don't listen to him. The other reviewers are right, this place is an unprofessional filthy dump. Do yourself a favor and find a actual driver's ed school.

Oh, John if you happen to read this, honestly can you please try to act somewhat of an professional instead of some filthy slob who loses the remote ("clicker") every two seconds?

Pros: John wants to go home so badly sometimes he'll let you out of class 10-15 minutes early.

Cons: Everything else.

First off the place smells like crap.I attended drivers training here and it was the worst experience of my LIFE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! The instructors are the farthest thing from professional and get off topic ALL the time. Just about every class period we would spend 30-60 minutes hearing Johns pointless stories what does where he lives, his past jobs, his daughter, his daughter's pergnancy, and his daughter's husband (who has a feleny) relate do drivers training!!!!!!!!!! It DOESNT!!! Oh wait it get s better!!! The instructor also tells us tips (i.e how to get drunk faster, and tells us if we want do illegal things- just dont drive after) no lie!!!! Also before every driving appointment he has to light up a cigarrette so you have to put up with smokey gross breathe once you start driving. Now your thinking why dont you just go second well, that doesnt work either he also lights up inbetween drivers so you have to pull over switch drivers then wait for him to finish his cigarrette. This place is a JOKE! Also if you go for drivers training be prepaired to study on your own time because half the things he goes over in class are common sence/useless info that he gets into a story about!! Save your 300$ and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR DRIVERS ED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR TRUCk DRIVING SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!

I read the other reviews and was surprised!!! My experience at Tri Area was great! I'm so glad my friend told me about them. The instructors were nice and really took the time to help me. I never could have got my CDL without them. Michigan Works paid for my training and another student in my class came from a diffrent Michigan Works, so I know that they deal with the school. I would recommend the school to anyone that wants to learn how to drive a truck.

The instructors trying to teach the class A- CDL program are unprofessional and treat the students like dirt. I wasted thousands of dollars at this so called school. I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences of my life.
