First off, I have to say the band at Howl at the Moon is amazing and they play some pretty awesome music. I have been there many times, reserving tables and bringing family and friends and usually have a great time when I go.

It wasn't until recently where I had the most awful experience and will never ever go there again. It was my birthday and my friend's wedding, so we thought it would be nice to reserve a table in celebration of us. It is $25 a head to reserve.. not too terrible.. The lady, who my fiance spoke to about reserving the table, said she needed a credit card to "hold the reservation." She explained it was $25 a head and that was about it. We assumed we would pay at the door, because, Why would we pay for everyone else? It made sense to give a credit card to hold the table, so we did. When we arrived at Howl at The Moon, prior to the time we had to be there by and check in, we told the front that our original party of 6 was going to be just 4. They said not to worry about it and to just leave the extra chairs at the table.

We enjoyed our night there, listening to the band and spending hundreds of dollars between all of us. When we got our bill, we noticed we were not charged for our reserved table. No big deal.. On our way out, all of us stopped at the front and told them we would like to pay for our table. One of the girls there shrugged her shoulders and got the "Assistant Manger" of the night, Dillon Blythe, to speak to us... or that's what we thought he would do..

My fiance, an attorney and who knows the law, as well as contracts, told this Dillon Blythe in a very nice way that we had told Howl at The Moon, before the night even began, that our total number will not be arriving and we would just like to pay for the people who did come. You would think that since we just spent $300+ this would not be an issue, but it was... a huge one.

Dillon Blythe, with not even listening to a word we had just said, grabbed our contract and started waiving it in front of our faces being a dick, saying there was nothing he could do. Well, we weren't going to stand for that. We tried reasoning with him, like a human being, and asked to speak to a manager after we knew we were't getting anywhere with him. He told us he was the manager... ummm he most certainly isn't the manager but there was no one there above him.. figures... He then asked us to step outside to talk because it was too loud in there. Outside, we continued to tell him we knew the contract and deserve our money back for the people who did not come. He then told us my fiance's credit card was already charged for the 6 people and that was that. I told him it's like he's stealing from us..

Dillon Blythe then told me, a lady who was doing NOTHING WRONG BUT TALKING that he doesn't give a F**K and then proceeded to give me a "kissy" face. He then continued to curse and called the Epicenter security guard, who didn't even try to hear us out, that he would call the cops if we didn't leave... Seriously? You don't even know what's going on but I guess automatically, we were the ones at fault..

I'm sorry, what are you calling the cops for? Because you can't talk to your paying customers and try to resolve an issue? We were apparently trespassing on Epicenter after that lol. What a joke. We know our rights.. I wish he did call the cops. We did nothing wrong.

First of all, I am appalled of Dillon Blythe and how he handled this situation and am disgusted to my core of how he talked to me, my fiance and my friends. He treated us like pieces of crap. Before we left, I told him he is a pig, because that is exactly what he is. No one deserves that treatment. He should be ashamed of himself and I hope he gets fired. We are nice, well-educated adults who were looking to celebrate special events in our lives and that all got tarnished by this man. I'm glad we spent so much money to be treated like scum and be threatened that we would be arrested.

Dillon Blythe I hope you read this. Thank you for ruining our night and thank you for re-confirming for me that there are horrible people out there in the world. Howl at The Moon, you really need to hire better employees.

We were disappointed in the number of rehearsed songs played during our night at Howl at the Moon. We went to this dueling piano bar expecting to hear songs played at the request of those in the audience - primarily played on the piano instead of with a full band.

We could have gone to any bar to see a band play rehearsed songs. That isn't why we went to Howl at the Moon. We encourage the owners to reduce the number of rehearsed songs and increase the number of songs played by request.

Two of us used a debit/credit card on a Friday night and found out the next week that the tab amount had been drafted out of our accounts on Monday but a hold on funds was still pending on our account Tuesday. When we called the company to speak with them regarding the hold, the employee stated that this was a constant problem for them and had been for 2 years. During our conversation and reviewing of the draft amount from our account, we also discovered that the amount drafted was more than what it should have been. We ask for a copy to be faxed to us for review to see if the tip amount had been changed. The GM said that our waitress had turned the check in as a WALK-OUT at the end of the night. Come to find out, Howl at the Moon has a policy which states if you walk out without signing your check then you are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. Our waitress did pick up a signed copy of our tab with her pen about an hour before we left that night; I guess she decided that we didn't leave her a big enough tip and turned it in as a walk out. I guess she thought we were DRUNK and wouldn't catch it. I feel sure that the waitresses probably do that on a regular basis to get the 20% tip and people just don't catch it!

If you go, make sure you get a copy of your receipt and know that you will have a draft taken out of your account plus a hold on funds for 4 to 5 days!

Was your typical piano bar...goofy people singing goofy songs. They were good but it's a place to goof off not dance "go out" and it was definitely an older crowd when I went...like 35 and up...

Lovely atmosphere, fun great place for entertainment. A bunch of us celebrated my birthday here with some friends. We had a table saved for us, which we had to purchase, but its well worth it b/c by 9p.m the place gets crowded and there isnt anywhere to sit. You can request your own songs for the piano players to play and they know just about every song in the book. Our server seemed very busy but we got our drinks pretty quickly. Don't quit remember her name, but she had blonde hair. I even go to go on stage and sit on the piano. A lot of fun and you will get drunk, I guarantee it.

I love this place! It is usually very crowded, but the atmosphere is well worth it. Such a great time with a group of friends. You are sure to sing along to your favorite tunes as well as some you wouldn't believe the pianist know on a whim. The drinks are yummy! Well worth a visit if you haven't been to a dueling piano bar before. I will definitely be returning soon!

I went to Howl at the Moon a few weeks ago on a Saturday night! It was pretty crowded, but the atmosphere was really fun. There were lots of different types of people there, more than just your young professional crowd. This is definitely a place to check out if you haven't been to a dueling piano bar before, and it's in the Epicentre so there are lots of other bars to check out near by!
