The bagels are great, and I like the concept. The Tokyo-Tel Aviv Express is delicious. Unfortunately the order/prep system is horrible. One has to repeat the order at least 3, usually 4 times... and it still gets messed up. Its total chaos behind the counter. If they could fix this issue i think I would change my rating to 4 stars. I've also tried delivery, and they got that order wrong too.

The food here is great, there's no debating that.

That said, we've found the customer service from Vic's to be lacking when there is an error with our order. This time around (and there has been more than one in our ordering with them), one of our two sodas was forgotten (it happens) and they failed to label our bagels. Normally this isn't an issue, but my wife has a severe dairy allergy, so we NEED to know which bagel is the one with tofu cream cheese (which is THE reason we order from Vic's to begin with). Instead of simply offering to send over a new, labeled bagel, it takes a confrontational conversation in which their best offered solution is for us to bring them back the bagels so they can look at them and tell us which is the tofu cream cheese. Only after our suggesting they simply send a new labeled bagel to solve the problem is this solution ever considered. A bagel with cream cheese costs them less than a dollar to make, why make such an issue out of fixing the order when you have to come back to give us our missing Coke anyway? Maybe we should just start buying tofu cream cheese at the grocery store and getting our bagels from Starbucks...

Thought I would give this place a try and liked that they had online ordering available on the website. I placed an order and 25 minutes later the online order tracker still said they had not began preparing my order so I thought I would call to check. The guy on the food was incredibly rude. First he kept claiming he couldn't hear me when I am sitting in a quiet apartment and my phone volume is on max. I had to literally scream my head off for him to hear me. I asked about the online ordering system and he said my order was almost done and being sent out soon. I said great, thanks, and just so you know the online system is not working properly. He responded "well I'm telling you now" with A LOT of attitude. Yes, great, that's why I was calling genius. So when my order finally showed up (after about 50 minutes for 2 bagels and 2 drinks) an orange juice (which cost $2.50) was missing. I had to call back and ask to be refunded for the orange juice and all he said was "yeah, I'll try to get to that sometime soon" before hanging up!

As for the food: The egg white salad was minced, warm and disgusting. The bagels were nothing special (I've had much better from the supermarket), the coffee was horrible, and as for the orange juice-- I have no idea because they just decided to leave it out.

Biggest waste of $17 ever! How is this place even in business???

Pros: unfortunately none in my experience.

Cons: service, forgot item in order, hot and gross egg salad.
