I am an Indian foodaholic and I must say that Bombay Bistro serves the best food that I have ever tasted. BB has authentic indian food where you can taste the different sauces unlike most indian restaurants where everything tastes the same. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable to enjoy a good time with your family and friends. The service is superb and very friendly. The lamb chops and mixed grill platter are a must try. BB has a good variety of vegetarian dishes. I found it surprisingly affordable. I will definitely go back!!

Surprisingly good food at a small, side street restaurant. I entered here on a whim, on a bitter cold Saturday afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised by the food and the decor. A pleasant, small place.

Seems to be confused on Google maps with a previously place at the same address that got uniformly horrible reviews. Don't confuse the previous operation with this currently open Bombay Bistro.

Pros: Elegant sauces, tender chicken

Cons: Uneven but still acceptable service

I have eaten at numerous Indian restaurants in Manhattan. I will place Bombay Bistro at the top.
The atmosphere and service is fantastic!
The food is among best Indian food that I have ever tasted. The mixed grill appetizer with the Achari chicken and Duet Kebabs(unique with chicken and lamb layered kebab) is out of this world.
The menu is very extensive, I have eaten there more than 10 times and I still have not tasted everything.
The bread basket with the different Naan and Parathas is highly recommended. The full bar is comfortable to meet friends. The prices are very affordable. It is a great place to make it a night out with friends and family. Must try.

I entertain a lot and host many events for my clients from the US and abroad. I must say, my lunches and dinners at the Bombay Bistro gets rave reviews.
The place is very comfortable and the decor is great. You feel as if you are in a high class restaurant in Mumbai. The 18 course lunch buffet is superb and affordable!
The bar with exotic Indian beers and cocktails is a great place to hang out. As a vegetarian, the menu has a good variety. The Awadhi spinach moong chaat is awesome and unique(I have not tasted this anywhere).
Bombay Bistro is a happening place. The short time they have been open, Sanjiv, the manager has done better than his previous restaurant (Diwan, that was on 48th St, closed because they lost the lease). I will keep going to BB again and again.
