My wife and I went to try the Unlimited Pasta Bowl at Olive Garden in Kingston, NY. We both ordered the cheese with portabella sauce. I selected Angel hair while my wife selected regular noodles. We both choose salad over soup. The dining room was only half full but it took 15 minutes before our salad arrived. We were informed that the bread was baking and it would be brought out as soon as ready. Our pasta came about 15 minutes later. We both had a large plate of pasta with about two tablespoons of sauce. The sauce had the consistency of Elmer's glue and lacked flavor. My wife couldn't eat her pasta as it was. She requested additional sauce. About that time the bread rools showed up. After about another 10 minutes the waiter returned with a small bowl of what appeared to be sun dried tomato sauce which wasn't what was already on her pasta and wasn't even on the "Pasta Bowl" menu. I ordered two additional combos. The extra serving took at least 10 minutes to arrive and came in small bowls. The bowls were filled with pasta with very little sauce making the meal almost inedible. It appeared that once we were served the first portion on an actual dinner plate the waiter attempted to avoid our table. With empty salad bowl, empty beverage glasses, and empty bread basket our waiter walked past our table several times without asking if we needed anything then disappeared. We had to ask another waitress if she would inform our waiter that we would like additional salad.

Needless to say, I will not visit Olive Garden anytime soon.
Management should take a look at the Mid-hudson Buffet to learn effective customer service. If you are looking for great, reasonably priced buffet style Italian food I suggest you try CiCi's pizza in Albany,NY. They give value, and customer service a whole new meaning: http://www.cicispizza.com/_template.php
