For so long I've wished for a Cajun restaurant to show up... this is not Cajun food.

I've tried multiple items on the menu and the only thing that was fairly good was the chicken zydeco. The Red beans and rice was abhorrently bland, the chicken red hot nearly put me on blood pressure meds from it's revolting saltiness and the Jumbalaya fell into the same category as the red beans and rice. The voodoo chicken is very hot which is fine with me but even the decent dishes here are just not good. Everything is served on a large bed of white rice with a side slice of plain ol' bread, at least they have some interesting beer selections at a decent price to choose from. J. Gumbo's is Disappointing at best.
