I must have talked to two dozen jewelers while shopping for an engagement ring for my fiancee, and I'm convinced that Marx Jewelers is by far the best shop in town for custom-made rings. After showing Slava some designs & images, he had a 3-D wireframe emailed back to me in under 24 hours that was exactly what I was looking for. The service was professional & friendly, and the price was quite competitive. Slava's communication throughout the process was very helpful as well. Most importantly, the quality of the ring was excellent, and my fiancee loves it!

When my wife wanted a new eternity ring, we visited many jewelry stores. We found the same old things at each store. We then met Slava on a Sunday afternoon and immediately knew that something was different about his store.

He showed us a ring that most closely matched what we were looking for. He then proceeded to tell us that didn't need to settle on just any ring, but that he could cast and create exactly what we wanted. And that is exactly what we did!

We were able to use the gold from her original wedding set that would become part of the new ring. We were able to choose the exact carat size for the new ring. We were able to choose the quality of the diamonds to be used in the new ring. Slava also set the original diamond in a necklace that my wife wears almost every day.

The new ring is beautiful. She is so pleased and she loves the ring, the necklace, and the fact that the new ring is really the old ring in a new shape.

Slava is a great artisan! He kept us well informed throughout the entire process. He also finished the work well ahead of schedule.

I met Slava thru a referral process. The man knows jewelry. He blew me away with all his knowledge of the industry. He helped me pick out exactly what I wanted and for a really great price, great quality and great price is hard to find nowadays. I guess he cut out the middle man or something. But I sent him of a picture of a ring I wanted for my girl and he did it perfectly and even put his sweet touches on it. He doesn't disappoint and is very patient with all the questions. Never even met him, communicated by phone and email and he made the transaction extremely easy. I would recommend MARX JEWELERS to anybody and everybody.

I saw a beautiful ring on a lady and had to ask where she got it and she replied Marx Jewelers and gave me all of their information. Right from the get go, Slava was very prompt in returning my emails and was very good in customer service. He worked with my fiance and I and he was VERY understanding about our budget. I would definitely say he went above and beyond for us. He created a beautiful engagement ring for me and gave us way more than what we thought we were going to be able to afford. My fiance and I are college students and we were looking for rings that would fit into our budget. When we walked into Marx Jewelers we were greeted by Slava and he treated us like family! Not only did he listen to what we had in mind, we did not feel at all uncomfortable talking through our budget with him. He got us the very best for the lowest price possible! I used to shop with a local family owned jeweler a few doors down from Marx. To myself, they didn't possess all of the traits that they could have offered. So in search of a new jeweler - I went down the block and found Marx Jewelers. I came in, sat down, told them what I wanted and their reply (in classic Marx style), "Sure! No problem!" I was amazed! After going to at least five other jewelers that turned me away - right off the bat I got the response I'd been searching for.

Three projects later and four items custom made, Marx Jeweler never ceases to amaze me. Their selection is endless, you can go to the store next door and find something you love - go to Marx and get the same exact thing for... here's the kick... most likely LESS! Their honesty and trust is limitless, if you've ever been to a stuffy and intimidating store - expect to NOT find that here! Their service and your happiness is their # 1 commitment and mission from start to end.

Marx Jewelers easily posses all these characteristics and surpasses them all, without a doubt they are my jeweler for life and I do not hesitate to recommend them!

Highest Recommendation for Slava and Marx Jewelers.

Price, service, process and follow up were excellent. For the better part of a year, jewelry store after jewelry store, I searched for an engagement ring consistently encountering high pressure sales tactics that would make a used car salesman blush. Quite by accident my girlfriend and I stumbled across Marx Jewelers.

Slava was informative rather than pushy as he calmly explained the process of artfully designing the ring on a computer, consulting my input along the way, then producing a precision wax cast that ultimately would become the finished art work. Feeling comfortable with him, we shook hands on the deal and moved forward.

Slava sourced a wonderful princess cut Diamond at an excellent price (cheaper than my ??friend in the Diamond business? from the radio) and we agreed on a design based on a designer my girlfriend and I loved. And this was to prove key? Slava listened to what we wanted, created the artwork then followed through with several edits and design tweaks until we were completely satisfied with the design. The wax mold was perfectly delivered and shortly afterward the rings were cast in 18K white Gold.

Having spent months researching diamonds, visiting multiple jewelry stores and at times feeling frustrated with the whole process of buying an engagement ring, I am so glad I ran into Slava; Marx Jewelers delivered a complete wedding set that we both love and we get tons great comments on.

I highly recommend Slava and Marx Jewelers; our ring set anywhere else would have been double in price. We received great value and excellent, professional service. Thank you Slava.

I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had with Marx Jewelers. I had been searching for a jeweler who could work with me on designing a ring for over a year. I live in Atlanta and was on vacation in Portland when I came across Marx Jewelers. I had talked to several other jewelers that day and couldn't find anything I liked. I met Slava Gurevich and told him my frustrations with finding a ring. Immediately he started showing me some pictures of his designs on the computer. We discussed my budget and some changes to one of the designs he showed me. He listened to my ideas and wants and came up with a better ring than I could have imagined. I had to trust him with my diamonds and leave for Atlanta. He kept in constant contact with me and sent computer renderings of the ring for my approval. He also came up with a design for a band to match the ring that was just perfect. His prices were very reasonable too. He had it all finished in a couple of weeks and sent it to me with an appraisal from an independent source. It was far better than my expectations. He also worked with my husband to surprise me with diamond stud earrings for my 50th birthday. I will definitely be recommending Slava to my friends and will be using him for any jewelry purchases in the future.

My experience with Marx Jewelers has been great from the beginning.

As my girlfriend and I were shopping for an engagement/wedding ring, we visited many jewelers including some of the "nearby" ones. In fact, Marx was one of the first and Slava was helpful and informative and not pushy at all. We scarcely conversed with him, but he apparently was confident that if we were savvy, we would be back to see him.

We chose to purchase a band from another store, but decided to find a diamond separately. We ultimately settled with Marx (Slava) because he was able to get us a better price (almost 1/2 the price per ct) because he didn't have the overhead or the rental cost of a mall store and because he listened to us and was able to work closely with us to meet our custom needs.

After choosing his diamond we had special needs to mount the diamond as low as possible and also to make quality improvements to the original band. Slava uses CAD, so we were able to design, conceptualize, and look in 3-D at the final product before we started any modification.

We then went step-by-step through the construction process and I was allowed to evaluate and make suggestions which were incorporated into the final ring. He even notice a significant flaw in the gold work of the channel-set diamonds on the band and repaired that nicely.

Overall, Slava was very patient and explained carefully and clearly what the limitations were and between us, we produced a most perfect ring for my now fiance.

Marx Jewelers did an outstanding job and I will certainly visit them again when given the opportunity for precious stones and custom work.

When we went to Marx Jewelers, we had an exact idea of what we were wanting to have created. From the beginning of the process to have our Celtic knot, titanium/white sapphire engagement/wedding ring made, we were kept up to date on the progress of the ring. Slava guaranteed the quality of ring and this was demonstrated by him being so skilled in the detail work of the rings intricacies. Slava guaranteed the quality, timeliness, and satisfaction that we would have with the ring. Upon getting the ring, I could not have been more grateful for his honesty because of the rings beauty and his word throughout the process. Because of our 100% satisfaction he will get our returning business.
