Mid-K Beauty is indeed one of the largest beauty suppliers in Portland. However, beware. This is not a business that can pride itself on customer service or ethical business practice. Three main issues with this business are:

1.) They place illegal minimal debit/credit card purchase limits. Most customers are unaware that to place any minimum purchase requirements on purchases is in violation of most credit company services. They place a little sign that claims this is their store policy, and few if every question this. Question it, and let them know you can report them to their credit service management company.

2.) Their refund/return/exchange policy is a joke. They claim you have 30 days to refund/exchange/return any item so long as you have the receipt and it is unused... BUT then you must scan down to the fine print to the receipt to read the large amount of product exceptions to this policy. With these exceptions there is little one can actually return or exchange.

3.) The employees working there are very uninformed about the nature of the products they sell, but they will attempt to make themselves look like experts. Though this may also be true in other retail establishments, this practice becomes especially problematic when their return/exchange policy is virtually nonexistent.

Though this may be a business of convenience, I have found other businesses that have very similar product selections, better policies, and better informed service.
