I went to La Belle Vie to get my cartilage pierced and the lady did terrible. First I asked if it was gonna hurt worse that my nose piercing and she didn't even reply, she gave no warning what so ever that she was gonna stick the needle in my ear and she did the piercing way to low. Not the best experience, NOT RECOMMENDED

While I was able to get right in to get a full set of solar acrylics, the moment the lady went to work, I knew I was in trouble. After spending $40 on a full set, my nails look like I went to a beauty school to have them done. There are bubbles between the white and pink acryllic. I've never had someone use a tool to shape the white tips. Most technicians I have been to are able to paint the white acryllic on by hand. The tool made the process extremely messy. She just slathered the white on all over my nail, and then tried to shape it with some metal tool. She kept digging into my nail pretty deep, and it hurt like crazy. Not to mention, I had white acrylic all over my fingers after the process was over. They are super thick and discolored. Some are hot pink, and some are natural pink. I actually filed them down by myself when I got home because the lady didn't understand when I said I wanted them to be short. I have been to the Clackamas location before, and they have always done a fantastic job. Not so much at Lloyd. Next time I will make the drive to Clackamas.

Pros: No wait

Cons: My nails look unprofessional and have bubbles in them

so i have my lip pierced and i went to clackamas for that, later on i decided to get my tongue done. i talked to a lady who worked at a jewelry stand at lloyd about how the service in this mall would be. she recommended i do not go there and after reading the reviews i'm glad i listened. and the service at the one in clackamas mall has never failed my expectations of what it should be. don't risk it at lloyd. go to clackamas its a little outta the way but health comes first and they have the new green line max so transit would be easy. :)

Pros: clackamas has been the one and only

Cons: staff at lloyd recommended i do not visit lloyds

Where do I begin? The staff is RUDE. I went in for an eyebrow wax and pedicure. I asked for my brows to be cleaned up, and the aesthetician barely listened to my request, but instead criticized me repeatedly for my tweezing my own brows. One of the staff members was also keeping a small infant in the adjacent room; the child was crying continuously and was being ignored. The fumes emerging from the salon cannot be healthy for the young child to be breathing in all day. I then had a pedicure. The woman assisting me was on her cell phone, drew a much too hot foot bath for me and when I protested, she rolled her eyes, sighed and finally cooled off the water. She made me bleed when she was trimming my toenails. Ouch. She then sanded down the dry, calloused skin on the soles of my feet and made nasty comments about my bunions. Another colleague came over to chat with her and they spoke only in Vietnamese--I am sure they were talking about me. While my toes were drying, after a questionable paint job, she threw the receipt at me and demanded that I pay immediately for service. Her tip? 0.00. She had the audacity to stand over me while I signed the receipt. She then mumbled something about my having to leave a tip. No tip because the quality of service was lacking and the customer service was extremely poor. I will never return to La Bella Vie in the Lloyd Center.

I've been to La belle Vie a few times for a brazilian wax. Once I had who I think is the owner, and it was a very UNpleasant experience. I didn't go back there for a while, but decided to give it another chance before I left the country for a few months. the service was really good (it was a different girl). I've since been to her (Gioni is her name) a few times. But this last month I went in there and Gioni wasn't there, so I had to have the other lady do it. instead of taking small patches of hair, she takes of huge patches, which isn't how it's suppose to be done. She also made me hold areas so she could get the wax on...isn't this their job? Not mine? I now have icky ingrown hairs and a bad wax job. I'm going elsewhere next time, even if it costs more!

Pros: location, a couple good people there

Cons: most employees are rude, seem to not care, and don't do a good job! (Lloyd Center)

.

The employees here are always rude, and do not practice good business. I was there recently and asked how much a product cost - I was quoted a price I thought was fair, and paid it. Two days later I look at my bank statement on line and see that they have charged me over twice as much as they quoted! I assumed it was a mistake and called to straighten it out. I've had things like that happen before, and businesses are always really nice about fixing the error. Well, not this time. I was told that AFTER I LEFT THE STORE they decided to change the price, and ran my credit card for the excess money. When I explained that this is illegal, I was told I could return the product for a refund. I explained again that it wasn't my error, and she needed to honor the price she quoted me. The woman on the phone got very angry and told me not to shop there any more. NOT A PROBLEM! Don't trust these people.

This was my third visit and brought along a friend from San Francisco. My first pedi was pretty good. $20 + $5 more for a french. Second time I did a regular pedi and it was just OK, but figured for $20, that's what I get. Third time was NOT a charm. Did a regular pedi and they charged me $25.00. I told her last time it was $20.00 and she said someone must have "given me a deal." They also don't list their pedicure price on their price list which I found interesting. Do they change their minds depending on the day? Will never go back. To make it worst, one of the women who was there (she must have been the boss) kept yelling over my pedicurist's shoulder and my friend's pedicurist's shoulder during our procedures. It was really weird. She was mean. I will never go back.

I've used the Clackamas Mall's La Belle Vie before for a Brazilian wax from a woman named Maria who understood that a Brazilian wax means front and back and got exceptional service there, however I would not recommend the Lloyd center one. The woman who waxed me was on her cellphone the entire time and refused to get off of the phone. She treated me as if I were the bane of her existence, demanding that I undress quickly so she could get this over with. She didn't ask me if the wax was too hot (it was and every wax I've had before the beautician has asked), she commented that I was fat which I found very rude. She charged me extra for waxing the back (the Clackamas Belle Vie doesn't charge extra, or at least never has for me). I felt more like a prisoner of war in a torture chamber than a girl getting a wax. After the wax I had her take off my fake nails, she used a sander which would have been perfectly fine except she would press the sander down and cause it to go through not only the fake nail but my actual nail. In addition to that she sanded off my fingertips and my cuticles. She refused to make conversation, she obviously didn't know how to wax properly because I had to have my boyfriend pluck the areas she missed, she was rude and offensive. Point being, I should have taken the extra time and gone to the Clackamas Belle Vie instead of Lloyd center.

If you go to Belle Vie, avoid lloyd center, go to Clackamas and ask for Maria. She's actually capable of being decent and making you feel comfortable.

Pros: It was cheap. $45 for a frontal Bikini wax, $10 more to wax the back and $10 to take off nails.

Cons: The service was horrible, the "beauticians" are more like military torturers. Very very rude. But you get what you pay for, cheap service for cheap products. Very low quality.

when my friends and i decided that we were going to get some piercings, we searched for reviews on the different places in portland. we were reluctant to go to la belle vie at first because of the reviews we've read online, but we saw a really awesome piercing on an acquantance who highly recommended this guy at the clackamas la belle vie. he was very professional and made sure we understood what he was going to do and what we needed to do to take care of it. he was very knowledgeable and took his time with us, not only does our piercings look great, but the price was very reasonable as well. in case you're wondering, i got my tongue pierced and my friend got her nipples done. its been healing very well and looks awesome! if anyone has any doubts about la belle vie, just make sure you go to the clackamas one and ask for steven.

I went to La Belle Vie a few times. The first time was to buy some nail polish and I ended up with a manicure, I did not get acrilic nails just a nice rub down and some polish, they made me hurt and then put a soulustion on me that made it hurt worse and After about two days the nail polish was more than chipping, it was peeling really bad. I came back in and the man behind the counter told me that I cannot get my nails wet if I have nail polish on! I ended getting acrilic nails done and the guy that was doing it just akted like it was a job that he didnt want to do and just wanted to get it over with, they lasted me about 2-3 weeks but I sware the nail polish would not dry!! I wated for hours and if I touched my finger to it it would leave a finger print. I ended up taking them of myself. Then few years later I went in and decided to pierce my septum and it was horrable, I was not given a care sheet she did not ask me what kind of jewlry I wanted or what gage. She took a kit our of a droor that had everything in it, jewlry, clamps, needle. She took the needle out and to hold it she pushed it in bettween her glove. The pircing is crroked. I will never go there again for anything.

I've had a brazilian wax done here 3 times and I have never been anywhere else but I think next time I'm going to find a different place. The last time I went was the worst, the room is tiny and the lady didn't even ask me if another woman could watch, I didn't mind I guess since she was learning but then they proceeded to talk in a different language the whole time and it seemed very rude. Afterward, I had horrible ingrown hairs and my skin was red and inflamed for a week. I don't know if they're supposed to or not but they didn't wear gloves either. They also completely missed areas of hair I didn't notice until afterward because I just wanted to get out of there so bad. It was an embarrassing experience me and the ladies were not very friendly. The other times I'd gone here weren't much better, I guess I'm a slow learner. I hope there are other places better than this one. Oh, and they charge like $10 extra to have your backside done, so it all comes to like $60 if I remember right.

Yesterday a friend and I decided to get pedicures done at this salon and thought we were going to get decent service but we were greatly disappointed as soon as we sat in the chair. We are both Vietnamese and the two ladies who were helping us apparently didn't think so because they started talking about us in front of our face! I find this to be highly unprofessional and rude, you should never talk about your customers in front of them, even if you assume they won't understand you. The entire pedicure was sloppily done and inconsistant, I got a foot wrap and my friend didn't. Once she started, I almost wanted to tell her to stop because I wasn't satisfied at all at her poor attempt of a pedicure but felt obligated to just sit and accept the poor service I was getting. The massage portion was more of just a slopping on of lotion, when she applied cuticle oil she didn't pay attention and didn't even get it on the nail bed, just the skin portion! By this point, I just wanted the whole experience to end so I could leave this place. The customer next to me had to ask 3 times for her nail technian to trim her nails shorter before she would listen and do it. I beleive a large part of this job is to pay attention to your customers needs, instead of having side conversations and doing a sloppy job.

For 28 dollars, I could-and should have-just repainted my own toes with a different polish at home, because that is basically what I got. Please, if you are considering getting any nail services done at this salon...think twice. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else where they will give you the attention and service you deserve!!

I went to La Belle Vie in Lloyd Center rather reluctantly because I wasn't sure of the service I would recieve. However, once I arrived and got a mani, pedi and my eyebrows waxed I knew I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their prices are very fair, and the staff is very nice and accomodating. They are known for doing an excellent job waxing eyebrows and refer all of my friends there to get theirs done. The Salon seems clean and well kept.

Pros: Service, Quality, Great Waxing!

Cons: Since it is in the mall, it tends to be very busy; make an appointment

.

Okay, so I had a brazilian wax done here and my experience was terrible. An understatement I would have to say. First of all, with my experiences with other salons with this type of service my understanding for a brazilian wax entitles everything off the "front" and the "back". Well, this salons understanding is just the front, which I would consider to be just a bikini wax. Not to mention they did not get all the hair and had told me to tweeze the rest myself, also answered the phone during the waxing and even left for a few minutes during the service to talk to an employee that had interupted and knocked on the door! Then the waxer comes back and complains about customers being late for their appointments! Well I was 10 minutes early for my appointment and then waited for an additional 30 minutes! And lets just say my experience afterwards was even worse! I had ingrown hairs like never before and the surface feel was as if I had shaved it myself and it was already ready to be waxed again after about a week if that! Not too mention the room is terribly small, barely enough room to undress let alone have the waxer and the customer in there at the same time. I do not recommend this salon for any type of waxing never the less any type of service.

I recently decided to get my tongue pierced. I was told about La Bella Vie by a friend, the price was affordable.... or so I thought. the piercing and jewlery initaly didn't cost much and the piercer was nice. but the day after reciving the piercing I woke up with an intence pain in my tounge and it continued down my throat. I decided to go get it checkd out when I opened my moulth and saw my tongue was black. as it turns out the hospital tells me I have a staff infection. I'm slowly getting better with my anti-biotics. all together with the hospital visit and medication... it cost me almost $400.00 in the end. the good news is there is hope I talked to a few more shops since then and I can get it re-pierced. the next time however I'm going to ask a few more questions and make shure its a good shop. my doctor told me the infection was caused by a combination of dirty materials and unsanitary conditions.
