I recently moved to Manayunk and did not know a trustworthy mechanic. My truck was making a strange noise, so I randomly pulled into Vince's Service Station. I was low on money, so I asked one of the mechanics, who looked like he was in charge, how much it would cost if he just listened to my engine and give me his opinion. He immediately walked outside with me and listened, noting right away that the strange noise was coming from an exaust leak. He put the truck up on the lift and began looking for the leak (I also liked how he explained to me what he was doing and why.) He told me that because he couldn't find the leak right then, it meant that it was probably located near the manifold or was the result of a cracked manifold--a very expensive repair. I left the truck there overnight and was called the next morning at 11am. I was glad to hear that the leaking exaust had simply been the result of a loose bolt on the manifold. They charged me $70, which I felt was extremely reasonable. Thanks!
