Have been a few times, it's in the neighborhood. Try as I might, can't get past the fact that the service is So Unbelievably SLOW. Servers wander around, plates seem to sputter out of the kitchen. Last time we went in for lunch, it was maybe 1/3rd full at best. Had to walk out after 45 minutes without seeing any food. Tables around us were murmuring the same thing. Sad they invested all that money on the room and do such a pitiful job of running the place.

Pros: Nice millwork bar

Cons: Amateurishly run

My mom came to visit me in the city today and we decided to give Brauhaus a try for lunch. We can walk there and we have been meaning to try it since it opened. I ordered a sandwich with pork and sauerkraut, mom ordered potato pancakes, and my husband got the smoked trout sandwich. The pork on my sandwich looked very upappetizing from the jump so I decided to use a fork to get a taste. It was awful. Tried the sauerkraut and it was equally disgusting and I love sauerkraut so much I could eat it for breakfast. Before I could say anything, husband declared the trout sandwich inedible. My mom finished her potato pancakes but said it was because she was really hungry. I would never go there for anything other than beer.

Pros: no pros

Cons: TERRIBLE food

The obatzda was bitter which means it was made days before, the onions make it bitter after one day.
My spaetzle although good lacked salt and I could not even finsh one third of it, my salad also delicious was much to much, the bowl was overflowing not very aesthetical
A Wiener Schnitzel covering half a plate is unheard of in Germany, remember everything is a little smaler there
Sausages were too big in diameter and in portion,
Rieker ( the butcher who apparently makes these sausages) makes a delicious Nuernberger and Muenchener bratwurst on a smaller scale.
I am not tempted anytime soon to eat a sausage there

Pros: the beers, many german beers on tap

Cons: portions are too big
