I needed Emergency Locksmith Service and they understood my problem. They asked all the right questions. Other companys quoted me based on my zip code and didn't even know Philadelphia. Houdini is the most respected I've found. They came out got me in fixed the problem and made me feel secure. My neighbor used some Israeli guys who took her for a ride. Houdini has been around for ever. I recommend Houdini Locksmiths any day!

Pros: Most Knowledable & Friendly I spoke with!

Cons: They are only in Philly

I broke my key off in the door and Houdini was there in like 15 minutes. Very Fast and Professional. I highly recommend them. I called some bulls%&^t company 1st my bad I think they were called 24Hour or Philadelphia Locksmith something and after waiting over 2 hours when I called to cancel they laughed. I will always use Houdini and I recommend them with all my heart.

I had my key snap off in the ignition cylinder. While they are very expensive at $87.50 for the service call, plus I was told another $65 to remove the piece of the key in the cylinder. I was also told that if they could not get the key out they would have to tow the car in to their shop and take the cylinder apart. While that is extremely expensive I did agree to this as I was 18 miles from home. After waiting 3 and 1/2 hours, they took no more than 10 min to get it out. As he wrote the bill up I said that it not what I was told the cost would be: with a straight face he told me the extraction was "extensive" and would be $85 instead of the $65 I was told. I'm taking my daughter out of college and getting her into being a locksmith, where else can you charge $87.50 to drive to a job and then have the guts to say a 10 min job is "extensive" and tack another $20 onto the original quote ( what is a normal job: where you tap the wheel and the key falls out).
P.S. cash or Credit card (with a 10% surcharge).

Pros: Got a broken key out in only 10 min.

Cons: Charged an extra $20 because it was an "extensive" job.
