First time visiting and I am very impressed! The office staff in front was extremely professional and I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment time. The dentists knew what they were doing and treated myself with respect. Already scheduled for my next visit and and my husbands!!

i had a great experience with Sea Island Family Dentistry. Everyone is the office is very friendly and made me feel right at home. I had seen another dentist before and my insurance had changed. I am so much happier with my new place. The dentist I saw was very professional and personable. The prices were great to go along with the service. I would highly reccomend

I went to Sea Island Family Dentistry today and had an awful experience. My experience was similar to the first person that posted about this office. \n\nAfter a somewhat painful cleaning I was waiting for the dentist to check my teeth. After about 20 minutes the dentist came in, apologized for the wait but did not even introduce himself so I'm not quite sure which dentist it actually was. He then proceeded to check my x-rays and then my teeth. After he was finished he simply said, ""Well, looks like I'll be seeing you more often because you have a few cavities."" He did not tell me exactly how many, or where they were located or give me any other information regarding my diagnosis. \n\nI found it strange that I had multiple cavities considering I haven't had a cavity since I had baby teeth, and the last time I was at the dentist (a different one) they told me my teeth were in great shape and to keep up the good work. I will be definitely seeking another opinion before having any ""cavities"" filled. \n\nI strongly feel that this dentist is more interested in making money off fillings for teeth that have only minor tooth decay. The myth that once a cavity begins, it cannot be healed is still prevalent, but do your research and you will see that minor cavities can be healed by increasing flossing and brushing and cutting out sugar and refined carbs. Teeth can heal!

There's never a dull moment at this office. The front office staff members including the receptionist, Jennifer, & office manager, Donna, are upbeat & friendly. They made me laugh and very comfortable even though I was extremely anxious & nervous. The back staff along with Dr. Cagle & Amanda are very professional & personable at the same time. Because of the incredible service and flawless dental work I received, I would recommend this office to everyone, expecially if you're looking for an office that's just a cut above the rest!!!

Recently my family went to see Dr. Cagle and Dr. Merritt for our first visits. The location is tricky to get to as it is on the feeder road which you can access only on Chuck Dawley- if you miss the turn off- which we did because you cannot see the building or sign from the turn- it will take you a few minutes to turn around on Coleman and make your way back. The sign for the practice is small- and again, you can only see it once you've passed it by. Needless to say, we were a few minutes late trying to locate it. I received a call on my cell at five minutes past our appt time asking where we were- I happened to be passing the building at that point. When we arrived a few minutes after- the receptionists were cold and dismissive- even though we were apologetic. The hygienist didn't speak to me during the cleaning and I was separated from my child- who they took off in another room. I was able to overhear office gossip - very unprofessional. Once the cleaning was finished the dentist came in- glanced at the xrays, made his diagnosis and left. He did not take the time to explain what he found to me regarding my teeth or my child's. As we were leaving, the rude receptionists wanted to know when we'd be returning- I asked why and they said that we'd need to come back for fillings- which the dentist did not clearly tell me (he talked to me about ""dings"" on our teeth- but didn't say what he wanted us to do). This practice appears to be more concerned with time management than service, and as far as a ""family practice"" goes- any practice that separates parent from child (under 8) and puts child in a room alone with a strange adult they've never met for a dental service they are nervous about doesn't have the slightest idea of what being a ""children's dentist"" means. I'll never take my children there again.

Cons: difficult to access location, small signs, rude office staff, degenerating building
