I know this has been very busy hoilday season however I bought a pair of Steve Madden shoes the first of Oct I maybe wore them 4-6 times and the stiching around the edge started to come off. Now I paid 89.00 for those shoes I took them back to Dollards were i bought them only to be told I could leave them there and the store manager would call me the next day as to what the store could do about it ( you see I nolonger had the receipt or box they can in, I don't know about you but I don't keep eb=very receipt and box when something fits I move on) Thje mg. never called me back I called aleast 5 times inn the 2 wks and he still never called me back and never picked up the phone ( iassumed it was because of the Christmas rush)
however today I went into the store ( the sales clerk I had talked with in the begining was very nice and aploized for the mg. not returning my phone calland got the mg to talk with me. First I started to explain I had tried to call several times in the last 2 wks and he all but called me a liar because he always answered his page and theb told me he would not an dcould not make the shoes good because I did not have the receipt.He did say he would try to get someone to repair them
I fullly understand store policies but the shoes I had bought for $89.00 was now on sale for $42.00 it was clear the store carried the shoes and he treated me so rudely I felt I needed to write tthis review I have never done this before.
The store sales clerk was very vice is why I give 1 star and the note she had left for him to call me was still in the shoes therefore I am convinced she did what she told me she would do 1

This Dillards needs to train their personnel in customer resolutions. I went to Dillards 2 years ago and bought Perfume (Very Irresistable- Givenchy) for a friends B-day, well 1 week later, I tried to return the Perfume because I found a better deal in a gift set elsewhere (Foleys). I Met a female Representative who refused to refund my credit to my Dillards account because she said that I had sprayed/used too much of the perfume. I had never even taken the perfume from the Dillards bag, but in receiving the original box once i smelled the sample, I did notice that the box that was given to me did not have plastic on it, but I did not think twice about accepting it, because other than that it did not appear tampered with. I put the entire bag in my glove compartment and did not look at it again until i attempted to return it. True I should of been more aware of this, but just as I had returned THIS item maybe some WELL to do Lady had opened this bottle previously and put it back in the box, but she wasn't questioned as to the reason for the return AND she may of appeared well to do and this would not sit well with her having an associate to check the product behind HEr. Well Dept Mgr. was called for resolution and this person was clearly not a customer service person, because HE was RUDE. I have never given this particular Rep my Commissioned sales anymore, but Dillards rapidly resolved the Matter once I contacted the Regional office Mgr, who was so gracious...

Cons: Watch for associates scanning wrong yellow label
