Buffet King is a combo Chinese Buffet, Mongolian Grill, and Sushi Bar. What this means is that there is a massive variety of foods. Not counting the dessert tables (of which there were three), there were nine spreads of food, varying from the requisite sweet and sour pork to little squids served cold. If Buffet isn't your thing, there's a Mongolian Grill, where you can pick your ingredients and have them stir fried fresh for you in front of your eyes. The Sushi Bar is fresh, and carries all of the basics.

Because it's a jack-of-all-trades type of restaurant, however, Buffet King isn't able to focus on any one type of food. While all of it is decent food (I found a couple of things not to my taste, but that's not to speak ill of the quality of it), nothing was absolutely outstanding. The Mongolian Grill isn't as massive as the ones you might find at Genghis Grill, but you must keep in mind that the Grill is included in the buffet price--which, by the way, is under $10--and you have a lot more to choose from.

If you are very hungry and want a variety of foods, this is most definitely where you need to go. If, on the other hand, you wish to have a distinguished meal, you might look elsewhere. For what it is, Buffet King does a very good job.

Pros: More variety than any buffet I've ever seen.

Cons: The food isn't remarkable.

Buffet King is quite simply a poorly ran operation. My wife, son and I decided to give it a try this past Friday night. Upon entering the resturante we were greeted and given a number (53). We were told it would ba 15 minute wait, about average for a buffet. The matrie d' then proceeded to call out numbers in no particular logical order or qualification. After 30 minutes of witnessing this the young lady who was the alternate matrie d' began to call out our number, but was quickly hushed by the head matrie d', so that a party of same size and of a higher number could be seated. I went up and handed in my number telling them that they apparently can't count in a numbered sequence. We wound up at Red Peppers and had an enjoyable meal, minus the hassle. Buffet King will never see a dime of my business. Don't waste your time.

IT HAS BEEN A PLEASURE EATING AT THE BUFFET KING. Mr. Penny Li greets everyone with a smile and makes sure your seated right away. One of my favorite areas is the Mongolian Grill, everything looks great and is kept at the right tempiture to assure freshness. Then their Sushi Chef prepares different types of Sushi right infront of you. If you have a request for something you don't see,he does his best to accommadate you. My favorite is salmon with avacado or the California roll. Try their baked Shrimp, it is seasoned well and crispy. They give you a grand assortment of vegetables, chicken and seafood. Four different types of soups. Have you ever eaten a chinese dounut ? You need to try theirs, it's crisp and sugary on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. On Fridays and Saturdays they serve King Crab legs on their Buffet. There is one thing for sure, you won't leave there hungry, it's not expensive and everyone their shows you that they care.
