Food was laden with too much salt, I want the choice to destroy my own blood pressure, not them killing me slowly, and yuky. Who am I but an x pasta chef, go to Fogo De Chao instead! You'll love their food, and never was I forced to eat

Oh what can I say about my experience eating here..\r

My boyfriend and I went to eat here for our "monthsary" celebration. Yes, I know there is no such thing, but we celebrate every month. :)\r

Our server was fantastic! I can tell

Solid upscale restaurant in Houston... Truluck's is known for its stone crab claws and we didn't hesitate when it came time to picking a place during Houston Restaurant Week. At $38 regularly, the stone crab claws are the centerpiece of Truluck's menu. They come 8 on a plate with two sides, and surprisingly very filling. By the time I hit my 6th or 7th claw, I was getting to be really full. I've considered coming here on their all u can eat claw night, but I honestly don't think I can eat my money's worth.

My appetizer was a Sonoma greens salad with pecans... very fresh and delightfully dressed. My dessert was a chocolate cake... very moist and delicious. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Truluck's... everything came out very fresh and delicious. Service was a little on the snooty side though... check out my photos!

What a treat! Huge Alaskan King Crab legs and delicate Stone Crab claws served on ice with fresh, toasted bread and herbed butter.

Spencer is a popular waiter there with all the oil executives. You have to see the dessert tray and then order Spencer's dessert which is off the menu. My eyes popped out of my head when I tasted it. I was in heaven.

If you are looking for the best of both worlds, steak and seafood, Trulucks is the place to go. Food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. A fine wine list also.

Get any high end steakhouse and give it a seafood menu. That is the simplest way to describe Trullucks. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, having to pay the testosterone premium every time you go out gets annoying after a while. Like with any steakhouse, all their food is impeccable, from their all you can crab legs on select weeknights to their surf and turf plate (which is usually what I get). A comprehensive, overpriced wine list and a beautiful location at the galleria finish off the vibe perfectly. I just honestly get put off by seeing the same work crowd with the corporate spending accounts trying to impress the same clients over and over again. And that brings us to the main problem with Trullucks, there is not an ounce of originality in the place, nothing to charm you and keep you coming in. It just feels like more of the same.

If the company is paying and you need to be seen by clients, by all means head on over to Trullucks; but if you really want to have your seafood world rocked, then go to Reef or Yelapas, which are comparatively priced.

When I am craving crab, I go to Trulucks. Their crab claw platter (just like the one pictured) is second to none in town - in fact, I'm don't know of another place I'd go for the same meal. Definitely an upscale place, the vibe is a bit old world traditional - plush rounded booths, shiny dark wood accents. The waiter we had was almost overly attentive so the service was excellent if not a bit overwhelming at times. Be prepared to get your hands a little dirty when you dig into the crab claws. You will be amply rewarded with sweet tasty crab that is delicious by itself or dipped rich drawn butter. The carrot cake dessert is large enough for 4, but sinfully delicious and moist, exactly how carrot cake should taste.
The happy hour in the bar area really good too - everything is half off and the cocktails are extremely good (about $5). My favorite is the lychee martini and the mojito, both prepared with exactly the right amount of liquor. The happy hour food does a great job of making me happy too. The crab dip is addictively cheesy and creamy, while the fresh fish slider is like a gourmet filet of fish. You really can't beat the food here at happy hour and I come here regularly. The crowd in the bar is very diverse and on certain nights there is a piano playing in the bar, giving it a nice loungy feel.

Stellar service and fabulous offerings---crab and artichoke soup is delicious and you cannot miss out on a piece of their carrot cake. We love the stone crab and wine flights. A great place for business or a night out.
