This company is a complete scam. They always have only one car in Austin Location. A Mid size SUV and it rents for less than a full size car cost. But beware.....

We rented a car over the Thanksgiving holiday from this place. We picked the car up and quickly realized it was the junkiest rental car I've ever been in. There were dings all over it (which were noted on the agreement and it was filthy.)
We kept the car because we didn't want the hassle of having to go all the way back to the airport.
We returned it a few days later and were forced to just leave it in the parking lot because they don't have an attendant outside. A MONTH later, we received a call from Bentley Auto Claims saying that we owe for damage done to the car. I told them that we didn't do any damage to the car but to send me whatever information she had. She sent a picture of the inside of a car door (there was no way of telling if it was even the same car) with a small hole in the side at the bottom.
I responded in writing that we did not do this damage, we're not paying this claim and were very offended by this attempt at a shake down.
A few days later I went into the ACE office and spoke with the manager who told me "it's the kind of thing that is easily missed". Then doesn't it stand to reason that it could have been missed before since this car was so junky to begin with? I also asked him why it took him an entire month to contact me and his response was that he was "trying to do me a favor and fix the damage himself". WHAT?!?!
The last thing that Bentley Auto Claims said was that they would send our dispute to ACE and then would let us know whether or not they wanted to close the claim or pursue it. I never heard back from the claims people until almost 10 months later when I got a call from some bottom feeding collection agency who was acting on behalf of Bentley Auto Claims.
This whole organization is a scam. They sent docs asking us to get our insurance company or credit card company involved to pay it - figuring they would just pay it and not fight it. Um. No. This is fraud.

I picked up my car without any problems or delays. I was offered a free upgrade. The lady who helped me was nice. She offered me some extras at some additional costs to which I declined, but that is expected. She did try to trick me into paying a few extra bucks for an upgrade, but when I said "No, thanks" she then offered me a Suzuki Grand Vitara free of charge and said that was all that was available at the time. So I drove off in a nicer car without spending any extra money.

The car was new and was very clean.

I called them twice during my stay to ask for help, and was promptly atended.

Returning the car was also a breeze. No delays. The agent was efficient, nice and polite.

I would recommend it to anyone, and will also go back to ACE to rent another car whenever I'm in Austin again.

I rented a car through ACE for a business trip almost a month ago. When I returned the car I asked for a receipt and the printer wasn't working, so they said they would e-mail it to me. A week later, still nothing, so I called and asked to have it emailed and now the email isn't working, so they said they would fax it. Three weeks later, I called AGAIN and after being on hold for over 20 minutes they said they would fax it. Their phones were cutting in and out so badly it took 10 minutes before the guy could even understand what I said. I feel I shouldn't have to check-up on them all the time just for a receipt! Very poor customer service!

We informed them that was not the car we rented. Then they sent us a photo of the car we did rent WITH IDENTICAL BUMPER DAMAGE, which was not there when dropped the car off. They sent us a hand written estimate for the damage, plus 4 days loss of use, plus $100 admin fee.... unbelievable. They hired a lawyer who is threatening to file court charges and ruin our credit rating. Save yourself a lot of Grief and stay away from ACE. Note these are local franchises so the scam my be limited to the Austin location.
