I am not sure what this previous poster is talking about. For one; you can't blame or give the SCHOOL a bad rating for a single STUDENTS misjudgment. Also the clinic appts. are on a walk in basis only and wait times are EXPECTED so that is also unrealistic to blame a school for that. I am not seeing any actual issues with the program/foundation/support as you do get all the support and structure you need to benefit yourself in the way you want. This IS a world class school with a world class company who owns it (Steiner Leisure, Inc.) who owns over 170 spa's across the world and has over 90 years experience. You can't find that at Myotherapy OR healing arts and a quick fact to throw out there. The Director/Owner of Myotherapy went to and graduated from UCMT! Steiner also writes EVERY massage manual that they use so you get an exclusive world class education!

I am a UCMT graduate. I graduated back in 1998 from class C45, before the Steiner company bought them out. I thought when I attended school here it was a bit of a meat mill, but it's gotten worse and worse over the years. I think the last time I got a decent massage at this school was about 5 years ago. It's so bad now that I won't go back. Yes, I realize they are students, I was one once, too! The last 2 or 3 times I went I waited over an hour for a massage. Last time wanted a therapist who knew craniosacral. (I didn't request him, I just asked him if he knew how to do it, and he said yes.) When I got in there, he sat on a chair and flipped through his book while he tried to figure out how to do it! If he didn't know it or hadn't studied it well enough yet, I wish he would have just told me. He ended my massage early because he didn't know what he was doing.
A few weeks later I went to Healing Mountain and it was like night and day. Exceptional! And the students seem happy and well trained!
The commercials on TV are a joke. Who are these paid actors they have on them? I have tried over the last several years to contact their career development department for help and they never call or e-mail me back. I feel bad for new students who are paying 12,000 to go here. Pick another school.
