Doctor Lanom had treated our dogs for 10 years. We have working dogs and he knows everything about our retired dog and working dog. He has treated our puppy, our rescue dog and my family with respect and great service for years. His staff is the best and I recommend them to everyone. It saddens me there our reviews on here that say otherwise but everyone has their opinion. I would say if people take their working dogs to him because they depend on them so much than that should count for something in my book!

Avoid this clinic like the plague..... This Vet is not interested in helping animals, but is interested in getting your money. I went there with my dog after having gone to two other vets. The other vets had prescribed my dog two medications; one for pain and one was an anti-inflammatory. Dr Lonam prescribed the same medications, but I had lost one of the prescriptions and when he found out that I wasn't doing the surgery with him, he refused to give me a duplicate prescription for the pain medication for the dog.....I personally went into the office and explained that I needed to get the medication because I was running out and would not have enough to cover me until the surgery was scheduled. I explained that the Vet who was doing the surgery could not give me a prescription until after he did the surgery because he did not have a relationship with the dog which is required by law. He called me and told me to get the meds from the new doctor!! His wife works there and was the first one to give me her "attitude" stating that he probably would not give me another prescription because I was going to have the surgery done by another vet....BTW, his estimate was $3100 for the surgery and I had it done for $1800 by Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and I must say that I HIGHLY recommend Columbia Pike; the people are great and its the first animal clinic/hospital that has actually been impressive as a medical facility!!

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Lonam and would not recommend him or his clinic to anyone who truly cares about their pet.

Dr. John Lonam is not professional and won't return your calls. What ever happened to customer service???! When I took her in for her annual none of her vaccinations or tests were done. They now claim that I denied them, which is BS. My dog will be 10 this year and I have had her for 9 yrs. Why would I deny her tests that she has gotten all of her life??? Doesn't sound right, does it??!

PUT YOUR PETS FIRST AND FIND ANOTHER VET! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!

Great clinic! Staff is very personable and knowledgable. They really care about your pet. Was able to obtain an immediate appointment when my puppy arrived with worms from the breeder 2 years ago and they have been wonderful in keeping him up-to-date with his shots and physicals. He even got a dental cleaning on his last physical as he needed it badly. They also carry a good supply of items such as a solution for dental care in his daily water as well as all the other flea, tick and heartworm preventatives. Costs are not thru the roof as with other clinics. I wouldn't trust my dog with anyone else (unless recommended by Dr. Lonam- if he needed a specialist). I recommended him to my neighbor whose older dog needed 2 knee surgeries over the past 2 years and she is doing fantastic-- not even a limp.
