we took 16 people for Easter buffet on sunday. Food was barely warm, not a good variety of food, and they couldn't keep enough food on the warming tables. Dessert were very skimpy and sometimes none at all. Very disappointed. Only one

We have some of the best Prime Rib ever. Come and take advantage of our happy hour from 2pm - 7pm daily. Don't forget to stop in and check out our Casino too. There's more fun at ext 21!

We used to like this restaurant. Went there a few weeks ago and had the fettucine, horrible. Thought we'd try again tonight for the favorite breakfast for dinner only to be told that they no longer serve breakfast in the afternoons or

Well, I go to the Oak Tree primarily for dinner and I have to say that I've really enjoyed my food, service and the historical ambiance this place has to offer. The drinks are the cheapest in town, maybe WA state- 1.99 well drinks- 1.99

Pros: good cinnamon rolls

Cons: terrible service and terrible food

.

Great service, while it might of been terrible before it's now under new owners and has some if the best food if not the best food available in the area.

Great service, while it might of been terrible before it's now under new owners and has some if the best food if not the best food available in the area.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

.

I've worked in Woodland for 14 years, so I've been to the Oak Tree dozens of times, and while I am a huge fan of their wonderful Cinnamon Rolls (gooey, yeasty and delicious) I'm appalled at their service. Yesterday only reinforced my opinon. It took OVER an hour to get our food, and during that time, neither our server or the manager would even make eye contact with us. It was like we didn't exist, or they had suddenly gone blind and couldn't see us any more. This kind of thing has been the rule rather than the exception. I was hoping that the change in ownership might help, but I guess not. My suggestion - if you go, eat before you leave the house/office, otherwise you'll starve, cause they won't even offer you a piece of bread or crackers while you wait, you'll just be ignored.

The lady at the table next to us even commented that she was thinking about sharing her sandwich with us, because she saw how long we sat. (They were seated after us and were served before us).

A simple "We're having a problem with your order" would have gone a long way to help the situation, but since they just ignored us, I don't have a clue what the problem actually was.

Bottom line - I won't go back again, except to pick up the Cinnamon Rolls from the front (no waiting necessary).

Pros: Best Cinnamon Rolls this side of the Columbia

Cons: If there is a problem with your order - you become invisible

Oak Tree is not very good. It is too bad, because I think they could change. The service is very good, but the food and menu need to be scratched. The menu is huge and has things on it like Jumbalaya, which I tried, and couldn't eat. There was absolutely no resemblance to authentic Jumbalaya. My husband had a burger which was ok but you could get a better one at Burgerville. The interior is very dated and dark. We will not be back until I hear that things have changed in a major way.

Pros: Service

Cons: Food, ambience

as a current employee i would like to say that the oak tree is returning to its glory days. With new seasonal menues. tasty lunch features, and a management team that cares about the costumer. I have been approached many times recently by customers who say the food is excellent way better than before. so if you haven't been in recently i urge you to go. You won't be disappointed.

As a former employee, I will vouch for the fact that the Oak Tree has completely turned to Timber.
Its a miserable atmosphere becuase every employee there is absolutely unhappy. New owners have changed everything the landmark stood for, replacing knowing management with fresh out of college know-it-alls, who are doing a marvelous job at overhiring, cutting hours for those who have been there for years, taking away vaction, cutting benefits and handing much needed hours to newly hired employees who happen to be related to some form of owner or manager.

There may be some new pictures on the walls and shiny new booths, but the ceilings are still full of buckets collecting water, ready to over flow onto an unsuspecting diner, the structure is still falling into the ground, and the prices are skyrocketing monthly as new menus are continuously issued, sticking it to your every day Woodlander who simply wants two eggs and ham, but doesn't want to pay $12 for it.

The Oak Tree is a place that tries to create an ambiance as a nice place for classy people to dine- however, that is simply impossible to do when you have an underpaid, underappreciated staff staight out of lower middle class America who frankly doesn't care.

Now- with all that said- The kitchen staff works hard to deliver you quality food. And the servers are not malicious, just tired, underappreciated, and frustrated with an upper management who only cares about the bottom line.

Service is better in the bar. I didn't think you could mess up a hamburger or even a shrimp cocktail, but the Oak Tree pulls through and produces some of the worst food I have ever had the opportunity to eat. I wouldn't recommend this place to my in-laws. Stick to what you know, there is a Mickey D's across the freeway.

The service is lousy, spaghetti sauce had tobasco or some other super spicy substance in it, small portions. Salad was only lettuce. Waited for refills, never got them. Left hungry
