It's overpriced in general, but they do have a nice selection of greeting cards, blank books, and gift bags.

Pros: nice selection of cards

Cons: they make you check all bags you happen to have

I agree with the other reviewers of Lee's. The manager was so rude to me because I needed to return something. While I was waiting to get credited my partner was shopping. When he heard the manager's comments to me he put down the handful of items that he had gathered to buy. We both decided to never shop at Lee's ever again. Yes, the service was that bad!

Do NOT shop at this store. Yesterday I purchased a bunch of items and brought the bag home. When I opened the bag I noticed that there was a $54 item that wasn't mine, but was charged for and burdened with. I had a good attitude about it as everyone makes mistakes. Today I traveled back up town to the store to return the item. I was met with serious rudeness. I was made to wait for the manager who was beyond rude to me. I was stunned at this manager's rudeness and vowed to NEVER shop at this store again. Horrible Horrible Service!

The two other reviews are really negative. Well, I have to say I've shopped there maybe three-four times, and I love it. Flax is so much more expensive and has a lot less to offer an artist/crafter. Maybe you can find better prices downtown, but I work in Midtown, and here-abouts it is among the best. I never had a problem with customer service or grouchy staff. Then again, I didn't really need any help. I personally recommend it highly. I love the size and assortment, especially.

Pros: Variety and more variety

Cons: A little hard to navigate.

I couldn't agree more with the other review. The manager thinks he is above his customers, and he will be extremely rude if given the chance. He has also trained his staff to completely ignore the concept of customer service. From the second you walk in, expect to only be noticed if someone is checking your bag or telling you not to do something. My money speaks loudly, and I'm taking it somewhere else.

I have been a customer here for a long, time, NEVER AGAIN. It has always been overpriced but the manager is beyond rude and that was the last straw for me! The staff is nice but not nice enough to make up for that grouchy angry man. Selection at Sam Flax/Pearl is much better.
