This is such a dirty company. I have a whole laundry list of problems we have had with them, but I'll have to summarize in order to fit them here. This company is a big fan of Chicago politics, and isn't afraid to bully, intimidate, or harass tenants. They don't care if what they are doing is illegal or immoral. They even fraudulently altered our contract with whiteout after it was signed. Thankfully we have proof of the changes. My wife and I were hired to be resident managers at our complex and have had front-row seats to their corruption. Several times we or other company representatives have served eviction notices in error thanks to their accounting department. Serving an eviction notice to a single mom is not an experience I am eager to repeat. One of the storage units at the complex has been missing a door going on 11 months now. Maintenance is sometimes quick to respond, other times it can take weeks to have a work request completed. I have submitted work requests multiple times about minor roofing issues that have been completely ignored and allowed to fester into bigger, more expensive problems. Whether you are a landlord, or a tenant, run as fast as you can from this company.

REMS is a great company, absolutely 5 star quality. We rent a 2000 square foot office in Orem and have been there 6 months. We really appreciate how great REMS is at getting things done for us. And we really appreciate the work their maintenance team provides. They do a good job.

Shout out to REMS! They have been managing our property for the past 4 years. Recently, after one of their quarterly inspections I was informed about the possibility of a roof leak based on condition of the shingles. REMS helped secure some bids and we got one from our favorite roofer too. After the work was completed REMS sent someone back out to inspect the job to make sure it was complete ad problem solved at no charge to me. Got copies of pictures and written report as well. Their follow up throughout the process was refreshing to say the least. I wish every property management team would take a lesson from REMS. Very best.

Just wanted to drop a review on the excellent service I had by REMS a couple months ago in June 2013 from a truly WOW moment. Their techs came and cleaned out the dryer vent which was very clogged. They tested my dryer to see if it worked better and said it worked fine. Ill try it out with a load too, but I am sure it is great. Now, I've moved out and they are holding my $1,000 deposit, and sent me a bill for another $500 to fix the issues that were there before I moved in. I tried to resolve it with them and they are never available and don't return my calls. Also - for owners - they don't show the houses. They have prospective tenants pick up the keys at their office and bring them back when they are done looking. You pay good money for a property management company, get someone who will provide proper service.

REMS provides us with exceptional service at our Lindon rental home. We had a leak in the basement and they came right out after hours and took care of it. They inspected the roof even though they weren't called for it. I got a follow up call and they came back to determine what they needed for future work. Everyone I've dealt with there have been absolutely professional. The company managing the property before were very difficult to get a hold of even during an emergency. We're grateful for REMS and the respect they have for us as clients and people.

Whenever I have any issues, REMS always responds promptly. I've been renting from them for a while and their maintenance team has been excellent. Recently my bathtub needed repairs on the drain and caulking, and he did such a nice job and was so considerate of my living space. He did an outstanding job and even cleaned up everything when he left which I was grateful for and very impressed! I'm grateful for how I am treated as a tenant and the great service I've received. I will definitely be renewing my lease when it is up!

REMS always sends out some great techs to do the work when something breaks. They recently had some guys do work on the interior wall and roof of our unit and they did a great job. Great guys to work with too. Very happy with REMS and their techs.

I wanted to thank REMS and everyone who was involved with getting the repairs completed in my condo. I know it was a large task and I am very appreciative of all the hard work! REMS was nice enough to come out late on a Saturday night to see the beginning of what would be a huge leak and repair job. After a few very warm days the leak became very bad but luckily REMS responded very quickly to remove the snow and ice along with all the destroyed sheet rock and carpet inside. They even installed blowers to help dry out the excess water. After the roofers fixed the problem on the roof, REMS was very timely in getting the sheet rock replaced and doing the texturing & painting, making the room look like it never had an issue! They truly made my life easy by being completed when they said they would- the carpet people were able to breeze right on in after them. Thanks again for being so prompt, professional, and timely!

I am so impressed with REMS. We had been working with their leasing coordinator about move-in charges and instructions via email. Even though we had lots of questions in regards to the utilities and what he needed to do to get keys and sign the lease REMS responded back immediately and several times over the course of one day. IMPRESSIVE response times.

REMS stays on top of rental rates, and even got us an extra $100 a month on our home. That's going to help with the increasing property tax rates. They also have our new tenants taking care of some of the maintenance so that will save us money as well. We're so thankful for their help.

They did a good job at renting my unit out quickly. My experience with REMS has really been great. They follow their own guidelines, but also allow me as the owner to make suggestions, and always let me have the final say with things.

REMS has honestly been very easy to rent from for the past 6 months. My apartment is very nice, and nothing seems to ever go wrong with any of the appliances. I did have a question about my payment made to them last month, and when I called and left a message they called back the next day. In my book, they have been great.

My neighbors, roommates, and I all hate, loathe, and despise REMS. Here??s what you can expect when you rent from or have REMS manage your property:

First, do not expect to see or hear from the same people at REMS. In the last year REMS has had three different leasing agents, and I??ve seen at least six different secretaries come and go. Be ready to experience something along the lines of, ??Who said they would do that?? Oh, So-and-So no longer works here?? Nothing gets done because the REMS?? employees realize after working for a short time at REMS, anyone who knows any better doesn??t want to have anything to do with REMS. I actually commiserate with the lost personal because having lived in a REMS managed property, I couldn??t even begin to imagine what it would be like to work for REMS. Before you rent or have your property managed by REMS just consider, if REMS as a company can??t keep their own employees (who aren??t locked into a year-long contract to force them to stick around) happy and satisfied, what is the likelihood that REMS will be able to keep their tenants (who are locked into a year-long contract) happy and satisfied?

When you move in, expect the place and your room to be dirty. The mattress REMS provided should have been classified as a Bio Hazard: it smelled gross and was covered in stains. There were multiple stains on the carpet in my room and in the living room and REMS will likely try to charge you for it (even if you did your move-in condition report sheet).

When you move out, expect a superfluous $50 cleaning charge. Two of our roommates graduated, and each time REMS sent someone over to do some after checkout ??cleaning.? All the guy does is look around the room of the past tenant for ten minutes and wipe down the window sill with a dry cloth while he texts and plays on his cell phone. This one-man cleaning crew disappears as quickly as he came and you now have a $50 cleaning fee. (On a side note, if this is how the cleaning business really operates, I should forget all about starting my graduate studies in Physical Therapy. You can earn about $300/hour all while performing minimal labor and playing games on your cell phone.)

All of our neighbors in the condo next door to us got eviction notices out of the blue because REMS had made a major accounting error. There were no apologies from REMS about their accounting error or the eviction notices they sent out. Apparently it is just part of REMS?? business practices and you just have to deal with it.

One of the pipes in the walls of our condo sprung a leak so bad that water was pouring into the parking garage one story below us and REMS said that it was our fault. I had to go in and talk to the office manager and ask how a broken copper pipe that you had to cut into a wall to get to was our fault in order for them not to charge us for the repairs and water damage.

REMS?? repair crew left a huge mess behind them. There was drywall dust covering the kitchen table, kitchen counters, and kitchen floor. They had also spilled drywall spackle on the floor in more than one place, and since they didn??t clean it up the spackle had encrusted itself to our tile floor. We had to practically chip it away to get it off. REMS?? crew also left the washer and dryer (which was moved to complete repairs) in the entrance way of our kitchen. After repairs were done, the crew had to squeeze by the washer and dryer with all their tools in order to get out of the kitchen, but somehow didn??t think to move the washer and dryer back into the alcove where it belonged.

When I signed with REMS last August REMS they had advertised that I would receive a Utah Pass of all Passes. However, they somehow ??forgot? to write this into the contract. Fortunately I had received ONE email from REMS promising me that I would receive my Pass of all Passes sometime in September. Needless to say, this didn??t happen. I called, spoke to or left a message with a REMS representative five times (none of which were returned), wrote their leasing agent several emails (none of which were returned), and came in personally three times to ask about when I would receive my Pass of all Passes (which seemed to have the same results as my other efforts). It wasn??t until I spoke with the head office manager and was about to report them to the BBB for false advertising that I was finally able to get them to come through on their word (but ONLY because I had saved and printed off that one email correspondence from 9 freaking months ago). If they have any promotions to sign a contract (which they will because if any potential renters interaction with the existing tenants to some degree they WILL NOT want to move in) make sure you get it in writing from REMS in the contract or they will try to stiff you.

Please learn from my sad and sorry experience. Do anything and everything you can to avoid REMS Management like the plague in any capacity.

It was old so they didn't bother running around looking for parts, they just replaced it with a new one. It was a quick solution and they had it up and running within minutes. This definitely saved me some money. REMS also keeps the unit occupied year round with great renters and we've never had problems with them or the tenants they choose.

This definitely saved me some money. REMS also keeps the unit occupied year round with great renters and we've never had problems with them or the tenants they choose.

THEY ARE PRETENDING TO BE A DOCTOR TO GET BETTER RANKINGS THEY SAID! Any positive review on this place has to be made up. Specially the ones on Yellow pages they even said they have a company writing good reviews for them. This place is a fraud. I rented a place that was in shambles, floors where disgusting, walls had holes everywhere, mold in bathroom, bugs, filth in windows etc. REMS never even rented to me they took over a year plus later. The place that originally rented to me stated to feel out a form so I am not responsible. I filled out 3 pages and lived in the place for over 2 years and gave written and verbal 30 day notice. They said they never received written notice and I told the wrong person. Charging me cleaning fees and carpet cleaning for 200 more. This carpet was written on all stains etc. Also charged me for a key even though I provided to them. This place is a scam. We moved out of the 4-plex we were in because neighbors repeatedly got arrested for beating there wifes and parting non stop. I have 3 children and could not have them around that environment. I can't wait to show the courts the proof there property manager and there friends were doing drugs and them knowing about it.

I have been with REMS for a few years now and they are very deserving of a positive rating in my eyes. I have had a couple of discrepancies on a couple of my monthly statements, however they were willing to look into it and made the correction fairly quickly. I recently hired REMS to do some repairs on our rental property and their workers did a great job! Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I went to inspect the property after a long hard day at work half expecting to have to clean up after them and much to my amazement; the place was exactly the opposite. They cleaned up after themselves and you would have never known they were there other than the fact I had a new fan in the kitchen, the whole in the ceiling was covered and patched just like I requested, the fan in the bathroom was replaced and the electrical is now working again. REMS did an amazing job.
