Well, I happen to be one of those subs mentioned in previous review (no, not the drinking one). It's all true. Stan hires people and when they demand a payment, he finds new suckers. Anyway, I was involved in two basement projects, they were never completed and of course never got a dime. When Stan realized he was in a lot of legal trouble, he offered me $700 instead of $5,0000. As far as I know he is still in business so be careful out there.

Stan Silver has filed for bankruptcy but may still be operating as a contractor, perhaps under PDB. He has claimed under oath that he doesn't know how long his company has been in business, nor does he have any assets. He hires unskilled labor (who are sometimes drunk) and does not pay them. When the "subcontractors" realize they won't get money from him, they will file a lien on your house for more money than they are entitled to. Stay away.
