Very bad experience with this contractor, and it seems this is the rule everywhere i look.
He changed a compressor on my AC through a home warranty service. He failed to place a filter on it (and he later acknowledged that, when i contacted him because the compressor died exactly a year later). Now i cannot get him to come back and replace it. The company from which the compressor was bought a year ago is refusing to replace it because they are certain that the contractor did something faulty. they are stating that a compressor should not die in one year. they are putting the blame on the contractor. the company did mention that one way to kill a compressor like this is not to install a filter on it (and i did not mention to them that this was the case with my compressor).
Furthermore, this contractor lied to me regarding contacting the compressor company (he claimed he was in touch with them since we discussed the issue, where in fact he had not called them until 3 and a half weeks later) and when he will receive the "already shipped compressor" (which was obviously never shipped).
While initially this contractor decided to replace the compressor for free, he recanted and decided that he should be paid.
my next step is to take the matter to the attorney general office, and the BBB and then get a lawyer despite that i know this will cost me more than the compressor's price. this guy's approach to business is deceptive and toxic and someone like him should not be allowed to practice.

our a/c had been running straight for 24 hours so we called seaton heat and air to come out to our house and the owner came out and didnt know what was wrong. he told me that it was just "hot and humid". 2 days later our unit broke and he would not answer our phone calls and this has been going on for 2 weeks now and he is hard to get to come out to the house to even do the job and he also does not know whats wrong with our unit. he seemed pretty incompetent especially to be the owner of the business and not know what is wrong with our a/c unit.
