The previous reviews are unfortunately bogus and false. It is a sad place when other companies try to slander another with false accusations only to hide behind an anonymous online name. I can assure anyone if your new deck fell off your house, or installers were not paid someone would be in court not blowing smoke on insider pages. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or problems at Andrews & Crockett, Inc. 770-367-4193.
BTW, I always pull permits on any decks built by us and they are always inspected by the city or county affiliated with the project.
I am sure I will not get a phone call from ANY of these previously commenting SUPPOSED unhappy customers.
I am sorry that honest hardworking potential customers have to waste their time with such falsehoods.
Terrible! I hired Andrews and Crockett to replace my deck. I wanted a big deck with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. What we got from Andrews and Crockett was big headache. After it was supposedly finished, my brother in law ( who is a carpenter in another state) came to check it out. Turns out it was built structurally incorrect for the amount weight it would have on it and the Andrews and Crockett subs left off basic supports that should be on all decks. This total incompetence by Andrews and Crockett resulted in 90 percent of the deck being removed and rebuilt correctly. This has cost me thousands and I'm stuck footing the bill. If you are thinking about hiring these guys don't do it, it will cost you more than money
Do not hire.
We hired Andrews and Crockett for a remodel of multiple bathrooms. This was a huge a mistake, Scott Crockett and his sub contractors are borderline incompetent. The coordination between subs and delivery of material with Scott Crockett was laughable. I often wondered if they actually worked for the same contractor or spoke to each other. There were a few subs that did try but in the end they got the short end of the stick. My job was never finished and we had questionable additional charges. we just got a call today from a sub asking to pay him directly. He was not payed by Scott Crockett. We refused to pay him, telling him we paid Crockett and he will have to go after Scott Crockett. This contractor is obviously in TROUBLE, find a legitimate and moral contractor do NOT hire Andrews and Crockett.

I was sub-contractor for Andrews and Crockett and I have had the unpleasant experience of not being paid for my work by Scott Crockett.
As a former sub I can honestly say you do NOT want Andrews and Crockett/Scott Crockett working on your home. Hope this helps y'all
Update 9/8/2011. It's now been over a year since Scott Crockett/ Andrews and Crockett has not paid me and other subs. He is rotating subs to try and stay in business. Do not hire Andrews and Crockett for any remodeling jobs.

I originally was not going to post anything about Andrews and Crockett but after my neighbor hired a REAL contractor, I feel compelled to let everyone know that Andrews and Crocket are not to be trusted. I never hired a contractor before so I was not sure what to expect. At minimum I thought I would get a schedule and timeline. There was never a schedule given to us. Andrews and Crockett went past their original finish date with no obvious reason but lots of lame excuses. All the materials were on site and no other factors at our home to keep the workers from not showing up. We even had a surprise at 7:30am on a Saturday when a sub-contractor showed up to work. Numerous times we ended up cleaning up after them. I asked the Andrews and Crockett subs why they never clean up, they stated Crockett has a guy just for that. When I asked Scott Crockett and the Foreman, they said the subs are suppose clean up after themselves.
In contrast my neighbors contractor showed up everyday at 8:30am stopped working at 3:30pm, cleaned up for :30 minutes and left at 4:00pm. To finish on schedule the neighbors contractor asked if they could work on Saturday for about 4 hours. Their contractor even suggested not to do something because it would not look right, actually cutting out some profit from himself.
It's obvious that a bunch of weekend handymen/DIYers/used car salesman got together and started Andrews and Crockett. They are no where near professional. It's your money spend it wisely, just don't spend it on amature weekend handymen like Andrews & Crockett

My wife and I decided to go with Andrews and Crockett for a mid-size remodel of master bath. We did not have a lot of time to complete remodel so it was very important to us to have a time-line and schedule laid out. Scott Crockett promised us that he would provide a schedule and keep is sub-contractors to it. Well it became obvious, promises where meant to be broken, especially from Scott Crockett. We never received a schedule, subs came and left anytime of day with no organization. Subs would show up but Scott did not deliver the material needed for job, so they would leave and then not come back for a week. The carpenter showed up at 6pm one night to work. We sent him away. Once Scott got our money it became obvious he is all talk and no action. Get the money flowing, have workers show up every now and then to keep home owners complacent and eventually the job will be finished or not. Do not hire Andrews and Crockett unless you want weeks/months of aggravation. There are a few good contractors out there Scott Crockett is NOT one of them.
