MOVER BEWARE!!!

First it really does not matter which moving company you use. They all lie and rip you off. I have moved twice in the last 2 months and both are nightmares. Focusing on my Elite Moving Company out of Las Vegas experience, they were nice at first and helpful. They go by cubic feet. And the guy who originally delivered my stuff to Vegas is connected me to them. He told Suzie all my stuff was about 450 cubic feet. So when I got rid of half my stuff and downsized for my move back I expected less. NOPE! It cost me more to move half my stuff back to Denver. Luckily I did downsize cause it would have cost me over $3000 to move a one bedroom apartment.

Then fast forward to delivery, my stuff was held for a few weeks because I was not ready for delivery. Then I was expecting some sort of communication and planned for a weekend delivery. I would have paid $500 to lock in my date, since I travel for work and being home at times is hard. But now it is too late. I get my keys tomorrow and my stuff is still in Vegas and I should be receiving a call within 24 hours to update me. (I am writing this prior to delivery). I have emailed the company twice today and no one has replied; absolutely poor customer service. I feel like the inability to give me an honest update when I called means something happened to my stuff.

They scam you on the cost and I paid in full at pick up, so there is no urgency on their part. And of course they give you a low ball estimate. So at pick up, you know that last day or two before you have to move and cannot make other arrangements it ends up being much higher. Not like I could cancel, so they still got my business against my better judgment.

As for delivery, luckily I planned to be home this first week figuring they would not deliver in a timely manner, but I would NEVER do business with Elite Moving Company. I am SO happy I did not refer my aunt and uncle who moved a 4 bedroom house to them. They do not deserve to make more money of me or anyone.

Maybe a fancy website, or they can talk themselves up, but in the end they are NO better than any other crappy moving company out there. I have been ripped off (they sent a small truck to pick up and just lie about cubic feet) and then I am being inconvenienced on delivery. All I want is to be communicated with and an honest answer. I could not get that.

Heck for all I know they have gone thru my boxes over the last three weeks and taken stuff. Guess I will find out at delivery. And I am sure at delivery they will tell me I owe more money for bs stuff. They charge for extra stairs or they even charge for elevator. How desperate are they for money? If it truly is a company truck and drivers, they would not nickel and dime you.

So they returned my call Friday and for $500 they could deliver on Sunday. But in my eyes, I was not going to let them get any more money out of me. My stuff supposedly loaded the next day Saturday and I feel like they are dragging their feet to get it to me.

To sum it up: Buyer Beware! If you want a legit moving company go with Graebel or United Van Lines, all these smaller companies are a joke. They broker your stuff out, the break stuff, they screw you for every dime they can get.

I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ELITE MOVING AGAIN. And I come from a family who owns an auto transport company and I have spent over 10 years in shipping. Customer service is all you have in a service industry, and well, Elite does not have it.

In the end, they brokered my stuff to have it delivered, they were nice and fast. But NEVER called to see how everything went.
