Would NEVER recommend. Called and asked for someone to come out and give an estimate of adding more insulation to our (barely) insulated walls, fill our cantilever, and put in some insulation to shield some of our ducts from outside cold air. All pretty standard/basic work. Their guy comes out, tells my wife that they don't add insulation to walls, they will put only the minimum insulation in the cantilever, and they won't touch the ceiling where the ducts are, as that's an HVAC issue not insulation (never mind that the ducts are cold only because of lack of insulation). I call him back to get more info and he starts ranting about how NO ONE can add more insulation to walls with existing (I've since verified that every other company in the area does it on a daily basis), cantilevers should only have a tiny bit of insulation (actually, my inspector says it should be packed), and that he will not put insulation in any inside wall/ceiling under any conditions. He said he'll put more insulation in our attic (doesn't need it) but he will not touch anything else. I pointed out that his website says they do walls, additional insulation, ceilings...he said he doesn't care and I should go with another company, then hung up on me. I've since placed 6 calls to the owner, trying to let them know how bad they came across, but they never return my calls. Wow...just wow.

It took me three calls to finally get an appointment set up, and once I did they called to cancel 20 minutes after they were supposed to be there. When they finally did show up they gave me the wrong rebate form, and didn't even fill it out. I had to mail the correct form to their office and took me a week to get it back. Xcel ended up denying my rebate, as you need to have R-40 and Spec 7 blew and R-38 in my attic. I called Spec 7 and they said Xcel must have just changed the requirements. After speaking with Xcel, I confirmed that the requirements had been in place since Jan. I had my insulation done in March. For an insulation company, this is a pretty major piece of info to miss. Spec 7's exact words to me were "I don't know what to tell you". They said they would still have to charge me full price for them to come out and blow the remaining 2. This would cost more than my rebate would be. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with this company. I will never use them or recommend them again.
