Marin Door to door was to pick up an important client at the airport.
Our client waited 45 minutes, heard and saw nothing and proceeded to find other methods of transport.
When we called to report this, we were yelled at, spoken terribly rudely too, and denied a refund. The company had our clients flight info and phone, and never called.
They hung up on us, charged us even though we did not get a ride, and were sooooooo mean to us.

We will never use them again, unless you want to be left at the airport with no communication and rude managers.

They came 20 minutes late (2 hours before dawn on a Sunday), then drove off while I was retrieving my luggage from the car, where I had loaded it in preparation to drive myself to the airport when they failed to show. The attitude of the dispatcher was, "sh**t happens." I drove to the airport, spent $55 on parking, and then, to seal the deal, I found on my return that Marin Door to Door had charged my card $40 for this insult! As far as I'm concerned, that's three strikes: for abyssmal customer service, zero effort to repair the situation, and scamming on the price. How do these people stay in business?

I remembered why I didn't use this service for the past couple of years when I used Marin Door to Door again last night. Thank heavens I was not trying to get to a plane because I would have surely missed it! I was just exhausted after my long flight and wanting to get home so the 80 minute wait for the shuttle was only annoying and exhausting. I was told that I would have to wait not more than 20 minutes when I booked the van and advised them that I had no luggage to collect. Then, upon arrival and each time I called I was told to wait another 20 minutes. When I kept calling to see why the shuttle had not come yet, the woman at Marin Door to Door started yelling at me. I was told that the people we were waiting for were collecting their luggage but in fact their plane had not even arrived.

I could not get a refund or I would have just taken a cab. However, I think in hindsight that they could not have charged my card if I had just left and taken a cab.

On August 17, 2009 I called to arrange a pick up for the following day. I had a 1:20pm flight out of SFO and was told that I would be picked up in Fairfax at 10:30am and a confirmation call would occur in the evening. I left the phone number of my location in Fairfax. When no confirmation call had been received by 10pm, so I decided to call the company. At this time, they told me that my pick-up was now going to be 11:00am (which I would not have known if I hadn't called them) At 10:45am, on the morning of my now scheduled 11:00 pick up, I called to tell them that I would be waiting outside and gave them my cell phone number in case they might need to communicate with me re: a delay. At 11:15am when I had not heard from them, I became anxious and called. The woman on the phone (named Michelle) told me that the van had been stuck in traffic and was only 5 minutes away. In a rude manner she claimed that she tried to call me, but I was not at the number I had given. When I reminded her that I had called with my cell phone number and was outside, she told me that she never received such a call from me. My mounting concern about the reliability of this company caused me to ask her what would happen if I missed my flight. She informed me that I would be at the airport by 1:20.(my flight time) Since the process of checking a bag and going through security would certainly need to be added, there would be no way that I could get to the gate on time if this were to occur. At 11:25 when the van had still not arrived, I called again. She yelled that they were stuck in traffic and 5 minutes away, I was the last pick up and then hung up on me! Needless to say, I was panicking!!! The van pulled up at 11:45. There was one other passenger in the van who was very aware of the situation I was in, having listened to phone calls while in transit. She informed me that the driver was under terrible stress and that they had been telling me that they were "minutes" away as soon as she was picked up in Novato! (Novato to Fairfax is NOT "minutes" away!!!!) My observation of the treatment of this lady driver was terrible! She was an excellent driver, but given the conditions - I can't imagine how she was functional! The person doing the scheduling had given her impossible turn around times - to perhaps keep customers???? After a very harrowing trip to the airport, in heavy traffic, we arrived at 12:40. Yes, I made it, but I would not have made the flight if the curbside attendant had not escorted me inside the terminal to the security officer, explaining that I was very late for my flight. The line in security was EXTREMELY long, and I had to be expedited to the front. I arrived at my gate as the plane had begun boarding. It is amazing to me that "Marin door to door" remains in business following the extremely horrific ordeal that I underwent on August 18, 2009. I came extremely close to missing my flight because of the dishonesty of the person on the phone named Michelle. I have since seen the terrible reviews of this company and am very angry that I paid $40.00 for being treated so badly. This company is unreliable. No successful business should treat their customers in such a despicable manner. There are other shuttle services, and I would prefer to pay more in order to be treated respectfully and have confidence that I would be picked up promptly and arrive safely with ample time to spare before my flight.

This company is terrible. I should have looked at their rating (It is an "F") with the Business Bureau before booking with them. The driver told us to "hang on" and totally drove like a maniac. They booked us with a passenger who was going to West Marin before we went home to San Rafael. When we called to talk to a manager we were told the manager would call us. We called back again the next day. We never heard from anyone. AVOID this company. Use Marin Airporter and get a taxi from their pick up and drop off locations.

When I called them to try to figure out what happened, the guy said he could not understand me and that I should call him from another phone! I won?t use them again .

I LOVE Marin Door To Door! I've been using them for years and have rarely had any issues with them. The young driver was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English (russian accent) and gave us some useful information and tour on the way to Marin County.I would certainly recommend your services to anyone intending to visit Sausalito. This was my first time and last time using them. The driver was well over an hour late picking me up for my flight even after I thoroughly filled out their reservation form. They gave me a discount on both fares which they refused to honor. After complaining to a shrill extremely verbally abusive woman who claimed to be the manager I decided to pay the full fare and she declined to accept it because it would be on a credit card and according to her "it wouldn't be worth it." When I finally found some cash the driver verbally assaulted me with obscenities and racial slurs in front of my entire neighborhood. I would never recommend this service to anyone- not even my worst enemy.
