I have been here for a French Tuesdays event plus a work event. I haven't had the chance to stay yet, but when I have friends from out of town come in I'll refer them here. The bar on the top is amazing.

Pros: Restaurant and cocktails rock

.

I had a recent trip to L.A and decided to stop into RH for dinner with friends from town . After going to many ""Hollywood hot spots"" I really wasn't looking foward to another fine dinning snooty restaurant....I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised. RH was great . It was beautiful inside. They have one of the finest open kitchens I have ever seen even though we sat in the cocktail area. The restaurant was just beautiful. We loved our server Chelsea. She was awesome she really seemed to know her stuff and helped us design our on meals with the create a meal menu they offer.(which is genius because I went with some very picky eaters) We had soo much fun with her. She definitly went above and beyond our expectations. We also fell in love with the bartender ..I didn't catch her name but she had long brown curly hair. She too was welcoming and fun, we'd go back to the bar for them, absolulty . The drinks were really fun too, one of my friends is still talking about the some vodka blueberry specialty drink. They have a kind of rock n roll theme to the specialty drinks . As for me , I love gin but never had Hendricks until our server explained it ...now I'm off sapphire and hooked on the other . I think this place is definitly worth checking out. The food is phenomenal . I recommend having fun creating your own meal. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection ...The whole thing was fabulous. A lot of love to the chef.\nThe only down sides (there are always some) Was the beer selection was pretty boring. no bud or corona or anything like that. I also did not like how cheap they were with the ice cream scoops . I mean come on we just spent a lot of money on dinner ..u can do better.\nOther than that it was refreshing to have such a great vibe in a restaurant like that. We will all be back for sure.

Pros: amazing service . Not typical fine dining

Cons: only bottled ca beers.

I would consider myself a bit of a food snob. My girlfriend proclaims daily that I obsess over the quality of the meal, the service and over all atmosphere of a place - ""this isn't your last meal!!"" she reminds me.\r\n\r\nBut when I do find a spot that has all of the above, when all you have to do is relax, enjoy the company of your friends and have a great FN meal - I'm loving it!\r\n\r\nRH is this spot! With it's exposed kitchen, HOT staff, fresh grub, sick desert and great drinks - I was in heaven! \r\n\r\nGet a table near the kitchen, order some aged prosciutto as an appetizer, braised beef cheek or one of their fish dishes, along with a signature cocktail (Mr. Plant) - and you're on your way!

I ate here about a week ago and I have to say I was really impressed with the food AND the service. Our server explained the menu- I particularly liked that I could pick a protein and whatever sides I wanted to go with it. The filet was perfectly cooked and the artichoke and spinach side was delicious. I also tasted the appetizers that others in my party ordered and everything was tasty. Good wine list and full bar. The bar scene was hopping- I would definitely go back for happy hour or a low key evening out with friends for drinks and dinner. My only complaint was that it was a bit noisy in the dining area- sometimes was hard to hear eachother speak. \n\nAll in all, really amazing food and I will definitely be back.

Pros: food, drinks, waitstaff, hip environment

Cons: parking, dining area noisy

This is a new restaurant on Sunset, right next to Saddle Ranch. The food is both excellent and creative. Prepared entrees are available, but the appeal of the place is that you can create your dish. You pick the meat / fish, the sauce, and the vegetables, and the chef creates your meal. The prepared side dishes were surprisingly good too.\r\n\r\nThe staff was friendly, and although the service itself was less than perfect, its understandable -- the place has only been open for a week or so.

I thought that since I had hear so much about it that I would try it out. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. A friend had a birthday dinner there and they were not very attentive to our large group of 20 people. It was very disorganized and the food is a small selection and honestly don't go for the food. There are other better restraunt that serve dim-sum. But if you must check it out for namesake, the bar is quite nice and a nice place to start an evning or end it but not eat at.

the place looks great, they've put a lot of money into it. i'd recommend sitting somewhere ""outside"" (it's semi-covered). basically you just order a bunch of dim-sum and have drinks. celebs show up sometimes, but the place is nice to hang out in regardless. nice for out-of-towners and large parties.

The entire experience was horrible!!! The grease-stained printer paper menus, the unimpressive food, unpleasant waitstaff. The whole night was one disaster after another. It does not live up to the name. The food did not compliment the menu discription. I do not recommend going here. I'm not even glad I tried it once.

I'm sorry - I have to line up with those that thought this place wasn't worth the hype. We had a party of 11 last night, and first they couldn't figure out how to set up the table. The waitress was pleasant enough, until she spilled a drink on me, and I had to clean it up. The food was merely average - the lobster sui mai came in some weird brothy sauce - not necessary - I would have sent it back, but who knows what would have come out. Oh, and they don't serve dim sum anymore - someone alert the gossip pages.

My best friend and I had dinner at Chi on Saturday. It was so great! Service was great and the food was delicious. We met the owners Art and Allan, and they are also great. Art sat with us for our dinner and bought us a couple drinks....Tons of fun at Chi, would definately go again!

Pros: Food, Service, Fun

.

I have eaten at Chi on three occasions over the past eight months and have had a great experience each time. The service was prompt, attentive, and polite. The food was delicious. On my first visit I had grilled diver scallops, which were superb. On subsequent visits the halibut and lobster became favorites. My daughter chose Chi for her 18th birthday dinner and loved the shrimp toast and lobster potstickers. I have had the warm chocolate soufflé cake three times and hope it remains on the menu so that I can enjoy it again in the future. The prices aren't cheap, but certainly compare to any in Chicago or DC and are far less than most in NYC.\n\nI hope to host a business party at the restaurant this spring and know that my guests will fall in love with Chi, too. \n

Pros: Food, Service, Ambience

.

Chi has a great location, ambiance, and drinks. That's about it. The food and services was mediocre ""for a talk of the town"" restaurant. For drinks and people watching, this is the place to go; if you want a great overall restaurant experience, go somewhere else.

I tried this place the first time and the food was horrible. Not packed at all just a dull, boring place. Was willing to go back because Brent Bolthouse was having afterhours there. CHI'S CALLED ME AN HOUR BEFORE MY RESERVATION and cancelled. I asked why and they said, ""We needed to give your table to someone else""! I had my reservation two weeks before. They are rude, horrible people. Don't waste your time! BORING, OVERPRICED! Rude staff a bunch of WANNA BE ACTORS! GET A LIFE!

Normally don't write reviews, but I brought a date to Chi last night and had a great time. We sat at the table for a while enjoying the atmosphere and didn't feel rushed like some other restaurants. The food was better than most Asian places, the drinks were good, the waiter knew when to check on us and when to leave us alone. Overall, it was a great night out. Chi and me made a good impression.

went to CHI last wednesday with some girlfriends - \nate, drank and just as we asked our waitress if Justin Timberlake ever comes in, he and Cameron Diaz walk in with about 10 people - that was a nice topping to a fun night - the food was delicious - and there was a good mix of people - absolutely going back to Chi -

I went there last night and thought the food was amazing. Portions were big, good variety to choose from and great taste. The bar was busy, the crowd was good looking and the drinks were good. It was just a fun night at a great resaurant.

Pros: reasonably priced, great food, great looking girls

I guess I went here with high expectations because I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong the decor was beautiful and service was great but that was about it. The food had no flavor, it was just bland. I felt like it was equivalent to a microwavable dinner. If you want to go and hang out for drinks, it is the perfect place. But for food....look elsewhere.

I was there thursday night for dinner and I have to say, it was great. The place was packed, the food was awesome and the martini's will get you where you want to go. No more expensive than any other place on the strip. In fact, it may even be less expensive. All the cocktails on the list are $12 and I know that's cheaper than a lot of places. The best part? The girls! At the bar and having dinner. They're beautiful. It's like a club with great food and no cover. I'm definitely coming back.

i've been to Chi half a dozen times in the last few months - sometimes my choosing, sometimes friends - each time we've had a great night - we were there last week, we waited a few minutes for our table, which was fine because we ended up meeting people at the bar - there are lots of martini choices and they just added a lychee mojito that tastes great and has a good kick to it - the food keeps getting better and better and so does the crowd - Chi is quckly becoming one of my favorite restaurants -

I went to dine at Chi w/ my boyfriend and some friends recently and we had a GREAT experience! Its true the menu has changed a little, less dim sum, more traditional appetizers and entrees - however, the food was excellent! The halibut (entree) was the group favorite and we all enjoyed the lobster tempura roll (appetizer). Compliments also go to the steak filet and crabcake! The cocktails were dee-lish! As for service, the hostesses were super friendly as was our server who was also super prompt. We loved the music and decor -- what a relief to find a great spot on the sunset strip!!!!!!

Went there Sat night for dinner with friends. Tons of empty tables, we were seated in the WAY back next to a table of tourists in shorts with a crying infant. When we asked if we could be seated on the patio where there was nothing but empty tables, we were told that they were all booked up by special request only and could not accomadate us. So we ordered drinks and some appetizers and listened to really loud bad rock music. The food came and boy were we disappointed. The hamachi was fishy tasting. Needless to say, all of our seafood tasted fishy. Our bill was $160 for this sorry food. Oh, and when we left, those precious tables in the patio were STILL EMPTY! So rude! Never again.\n

I went to this place and though the food tasted pretty good the portions were small for the price and served only luke warm. They got my friends order wrong who was vegetarian (and served her meat even after specifying vegetarian), and made no real apology or recompense on the bill. \nNice decor real shame about the service.

Place has really nice decor and awesome ambience. The chocolate suffle and Lychee martini was fantastic. But it cost us $50 bucks just for 2 drinks and a dessert. Not sure if a martini is worth $16 each. But overall, it's a great place to try. Be sure to sit in front of the fire pit. It's beautiful.

Saturday night dinner w/ my girlfriends was a blast. True, dim sum servings are really small (2 or 3 pcs @), but no doubt tasty and delicious. We ordered about 8 plates to share, plus 2 desserts & 2 drinks, & surprised the bill was only $150(pretax & tip). Highly recommended: scallops & lobster dim sum, choco souffle, bananas foster, tantric kiss (worth it @ $14!). Service was excellent & we were seated promptly. Valet was efficient, too. Plus, the ambience was really nice. Will come back!

This place needs to get over the fact that it's ""Justin Timberlake's place."" I've been to many restaurants in L.A. but never to one that made me feel like they were doing me a favour letting me through the door. After waiting 15 minutes to be ackowledged, my husband and I were directed to the bar until our table was ""ready."" The cocktails had an original flair, but $14.00 for one cocktail!??? Just as I was wondering if they'd forgotten us, someone came to take us to our place among the many empty tables in the main dining area. We noticed wait staff hanging around doorways chatting amongst themselves, and our waitress, who was new, didn't bring us any water until were asked a third time. Altough the food was excellent, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you you really enjoy spending a fortune being ignored at ""Justin's place.""

Excellent ambience. It's a great place to go on a date. The red, dim lighting is marvelous and had it not been Thursday night, we would have stayed there hours past 1AM (which is when we finally left).\nThe food was absolutely delicious but if you're looking to EAT, there's not a lot of it. Just right for me and my companion as we're both light eaters.\nIt's a trendy/casual place and the service is excellent.

The food was horrible! I think they assumed they didn't need good food because Justin rakes in the customers. Well I can honestly say it was the worst food I'ved had. Have you ever had microwaved chinese food, because thats what it taste like. Although this place is very cute its good to just have drinks and hang out.

After hearing some so-so things, I was definitely surprised. The food was great. Try the lobster potstickers, the shrimp har gow, vegetable curry, tuna tar tar, and the fresh crab cakes. As far as entree's I really liked the filet and the gift wrapped sea bass. The D.J. was great, playing the best variety, the servers are beautiful and very sweet, and the decor is something out of NYC, not LA. The restaurant is situated both in and outdoors so guests can smoke and drink next to the firepit or at a table outside. The drinks are awesome as well. I had the Mojito, and my friend had the asian pear martini. Try going on a Tuesday night so you can go to the rooftop club after you dine, or on a Thurs or weekend when there is stuff to do on the strip.

Try going on a Tuesday night so you can go to the rooftop club after you dine, or on a Thurs or weekend when there is stuff to do on the strip.

Pros: Great dim sum, specialty drinks, good tunes

Cons: , but worth it!

.

I made a reservation way in advance for a Saturday night, the hostesses are very nice and friendly. They were not as busy as I expected- we got a seat near the fire pit. Very cool atmosphere and design. We ordered quite a few things, but the only dish I enjoyed was the Pad Thai. Lobster Potstickers were terrible and BBQ pork buns were alright. The Le-Chi martini was awesome (but also $16). You must have the chocolate soufle cake- simply amazing. The waiter was rude and kept telling us JT was coming so we'd order more drinks. JT was really on tour in Manchester, England at the time.

Pros: Cheap valet, Very cool design, Chocolate Soufle Cake

Cons: , Small portions

It is not the place to dine but rather to have some drinks and don't expect a good service because it takes 20 to 30 minutes to order for drinks and the food comes even later than that. You will spend more time getting anxious and angry than having a good time.

Pros: new place

I absolutely love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Like others, I wouldn't recommend eating there to get a meal. Maybe for drinks and a light meal before hitting the strip. The service was prompt and overall, it was better than I expected. Thumbs up to JT and company.

Pros: Drinks, Atmosphere

The food was god-awful at this very cool restaurant. It's too bad, because you want to like it because you feel so cool when you're sitting in the relaxing couch-chairs. Too bad...so sad. Overpriced, horrible food, almost as bad service. Stay away!

Pros: Atmosphere, Outdoor patio

Cons: Teenieboppers, Overpriced, Under-flavored

We went to this restaurant Saturday night and we had a great time. The place is decorated beautifully and the out door patio is great for mingling and smoking. The food was average and a bit pricey but you can always go there for drinks.

my girlfriend and I kept hearing about jt's new restaurant so we had to try it. we went in last saturday for my girlfriends birthday and had dinner. the place was really cool, we're smokers so we appreciated the fire area and that you can smoke while you are having dinner. the waitress was really nice and she even had the manager come over and open our bottle of wine for us. we felt like celebs. the food was really good, the portions were a little bit small but we managed to fill up. we are coming back again for sure!! thanks chi for a great night.

I went to Chi last week for dinner with friends. I made reservations a couple of days before going for Friday night. We had no problems from getting our table, to drinks, to dinner and to desserts. The portions are a bit small but the ambience and clientele make up for it. And, the place is really decorated nicely. Other people have commented that the portions were too small, service bad, etc. I was born and raised in L.A. and most trendy new restaurants are exactly like this. Not all, but most. I'd go back to Chi, again. I had a great time.

Pros: easy parking, great food, cool atmosphere

Cons: waited 40mins., smokey patio, too crowded

I am one to enjoy fine dinning. All that is needed to impress me is good service, good food, nice atmosphere, and good company. At Chi, all I had was good company. \nFrom the short 10 minutes that we stayed, I have concluded that I will never return to this restaurant, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone I like. If someone I don't like ask me for a restaurant recommendation, I would send them to Chi. I have never experience such horrible service, and to top it off, the most unprofessional and snobby person was the manager herself. \nI guess I really can't give a review on the food since I did not stay long enough to order. But just from looking at the menu, everything is extremely overpriced. They seemed to not value their customers, so I have decided that my money should be spent else where.

Pros: none... no wait, , since their tables, were mostly empty

Cons: service, expensive, rude attitude

.

DON'T EAT HERE!\n\nThe menu is skimpy except in price and the restaurant seems inordinately proud of their four types of sauces.\n\nAlthough we were seated promptly, it was at a table too small for our party. Then the waitress tipped over my beer, spilling it all over the table and knocking my empty glass onto the floor. She was apologetic, but not apologetic enough to replace it. She simply set the bottle upright. Didn't even bother to get me a new glass. She did, however, bring another sample tray of their four sauces.\n\nWhen we borrowed a chair from one of the many empty tables to accommodate the 7th member of our party, we were told that if the empty table is filled later on, they would ""politely"" ask one of us to get up and they would take the chair. So, we ""politely"" asked for the check.

Pros: Four types of sauces!

Cons: Overpriced, Rude, snotty service

.

I had THE WORST experience there ever! The staff was rude, snotty, and unaccomodating. We had reservations for 8 but only 6 showed up on time. they seated us for 6 even though we told them more people would be coming. a friend came and we pulled up a chair. they refused to let us use the chair and said that if they needed it since they were fully booked, they would ask for it back. there was NO way we could have sat together without the chair. the waitress spilled out my friends drink on the table and did not replace it either. they could have used a better attitude towards us. we felt like our business was not needed there so we left. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED AS RUDELY EVER!!!!
