Piola is a an excellent Italian/pizza restaurant in Midtown. I usually get the gnocchi, but I also have enjoyed the pizza. The pizza is the classic Italian thin crust. I crave the cocktail strawberry caiprioska. It's my favorite drink

I was really hopeful that this would be good. Gave it a good shot. Went three times. Finally gave up. Gnocci, terrible, pizza, OK, calzone, tasteless and the salads...well that's where we have a problem. They were serving rotten

Ive been to Piola many times and have always found their food to be great. The other reviews must have gone on a bad night. First of all, the manager is adorable and very accommodating. They have a wide variety of delicious pizza and pasta, great happy hour appetizer specials, great drink specials, fabulous and great looking bartenders and great servers. Considering the major lack of good, cheap food in midtown, where I live and spend most of my time, Id say Piola is much better than many other places on crescent or juniper or piedmont and tenth. Its laid back, affordable and always a good time.

Worst pizza ever !!!!! The picture from the website had me really excited , not. The pizza was COLD and had no flavor . They put two leaves on top that was supposed to be basil . Tasted like someone put it in the microwave. Kroger brand 98 cent pizza would've tasted better. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!! Guess you need to be drunk to enjoy it. I normally don't write reviews on , but this pizza tasted so bad I had to . BEST PIZZA PLACE IN ATLANTA is "VARASANO's PIZZA "across from Justin's

Piola opened TODAY in 12th and Midtown after months of waiting for this pizzeria to open its doors. I was surprisingly their first customer and after meeting pretty much everyone that worked in the restaurant I finally was seated. (They were all really happy to have their first customer!) The restaurant is very zesty with lots of colors and lights and seems to offer a very hip and eccentric nightlife vibe. I ordered the Diavola pizza with spicy salami, tomato sauce and mozzarella. My dad ordered Fusilli Blanco Verde pasta with broccoli, chicken, cream and parmesan cheese. The food came out and it was delicious. Very fresh ingredients with a savory taste. The meal was a little pricy though. The thin crust, pepperoni pizza (which in simplistic terms is what I ordered) was $12.95. Piola will be opened late night (till around 1am) which will be incredible for all the walking traffic around Crescent St at night. They also have all you can eat homemade gnocci every 29th of the month.
Piola seems to offer another country's flavor to contribute to the around the world restaurants offered at 12th and Midtown - Rira Irish Pub, Ra Sushi, and now Piola.
