I have never been more impressed with a grooming/boarding facility. I am the proud owner of a beautiful lady boxer, Layla. She is very temperamental. I have searched high & low for a facility that could make her feel safe, secure and most importantly, keep her calm while I am away. This is the ONLY facility that I found able to do so successfully. Layla really seems to enjoy her stays there very much and she confirms it by greeting the staff with friendly pup-kisses everytime we arrive. When I pick her up she always seems happy and smells great. So does the facility, surprisingly. Very clean as well. I am amazed at Layla's transformation but I give that credit to the staff. They are very trustworthy and genuine animal lovers. I am extremely happy with the services I receive there and I will tell everyone I know about my experience. I recommend them to anyone seeking high quality care for your animal friends. You will NOT be disappointed!
There are many adjectives to describe this hotel: spotless, professional, loving, friendly, warm, etc. I dropped off my almost 12 year old chocolate lab CoCo for an 8 night stay from June 4, 2012 to June 11, 2012. Not only did she appear to have a great time (she was behind the Concierge's desk which is well worth the money), she came home happy, healthy, and looked fantastic. I had such anxiety leaving my baby for a week, but I had no reason to worry. What was astonishing to me is that they had pages of "progress" notes on CoCo including all her walks, bathroom updates, and any issues she had (hardly any). While on vacation, Dena even sent me a cute little email update with a picture of my baby! Kudos to Jared, Dena and Aileen specifically, but all of the workers there are genuine and truly care about these animals. Upon checkout, several of the workers really seemed sad that CoCo was leaving and said goodbye to her. Jared made it a point of not only talking to me during checkout about how she did, but carried CoCo's bed out to the car and put it in the trunk for me. He us utterly efficient and runs a tight ship (something that seems to be lacking in alot of boarding places and even human businesses). Coco is home now and just ran upstairs to grab her toy of her toy box. If that's one indication of how she did, then it was a TRUE SUCCESS. Thank you everyone for taking care of my baby girl! I wish I had known about this place sooner. You guys rock! Jared, keep up the great job!
My family and I were reluctant to board our dog as he had not been boarded before. We decided to take a family vacation for the first time in 7 years and needed a place to house our dog, Gus. We visited the kennel before we made a reservation. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED, as the kennel was not like the kennels we had used before. I would describe it as ultra-modern, state-of-the-art, and designed for animals. The indoor exercise area was spectacular. The staff is amazing! Gus thoroughly enjoyed his stay. When we picked him up, he was very happy and looked and smelled great. Our family will now be able to take more vacations because of the fact that we found such a great home for our Gus.
Our description of Philly Pet Hotel is simple: immaculate, professional staff, pet loving, spectacular structure, safe, convenient, fair pricing..and the list goes on. We found the resort by accident when droppong off a rental car across the street.Glad we did. Our little yorkie had never been happier when we picked him up. We all love the resort. Thank you Jared. Don't change anything as you all are doing a great job. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Phila. Pet Hotel, Jared and staff all get a 2 thumbs up for caring for our dogs last weekend. Not only did we book on short notice but the entire staff was warm and kind. All are animal lovers. We are very comfortable recommending this resort to EVERYONE. Jared runs a quality operation and we will return.

I would like to thank the entire staff, namely Jared, of Philadelphia Pet Hotel for the GREAT job you all did with my problem child, Sly. We travel frequently and Sly has spent a lot of time in kennels and he never seems right when we took him home. However, when I picked him up yesterday, after a 10 day stay, it seemed like he wanted to stay. He was happy and looked GREAT. Thank you. Sly has found a new home away from home. Enjoy he pizza I sent over for the staff. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

My wife and left our Cane Corso at Philly Pet Hotel this week for 3 days. We made a reservation on short notice due to a family emergency. The staff gathered shot records from our vet for us which was great. The kennel is located near the airport and is easy to find. We were suprised as to how reasonably priced they were. There was no hard sell and the process of check-in and check out was simple. Our dog was the first to have play time in the new, huge, indoor exercise arena. We highly recommend.

I was very impressed from the moment I walked in. Jared, the owner/manager is a dream whose main concern, above all, is the safety and well-being of his guests, as he called them. I found him and the staff to be warm, honest and there was never a hard sell. This is a first class operation. Located on a large 5 acre site. New indoor play/training area. This is a resort that I will recommend to all of my clients and friends.

We left our dog at Philly Pet Hotel this past week. My husband and I were wowwed from the moment we entered the door. NO SMELL, (not what we were used to using our old kennel), beautiful, warm staff and very welcoming. Pete stayed for 5 days and looked better than when we dropped him off(he usually came back to us tired and with some loss of weight). The staff is great and gave us reports on him when I called. A really great place. You will find no other place like this. I agree with the last review. Best of Philly.

I grew up in Philly with pets my whole life. There was never a decent kennel in the city. I found this place by accident when I dropped off a rental car at Thrifty. I took a tour and made a reservation. My dog, who is not to friendly, had a great 3 day stay in the luxury villa. He loved the girls, specially Jean. I will leave him there again. Great place, great care. Finially a nice kennel in Philly. Best of philadelphia.

I had been a customer and my dog been a guest of Pets Mart Hotel.. It was ok but I was never really comfortable leaving him there. A coworker recommended Philadelphia Pet Hotel near the airport. My husband and I went for a visit and were very impressed. The building is immaculate and the workers were personable and caring. We left our dog there this last weekend. He did great. Came back to us happy and healthy. A nice relief to find such a nice place. . No negatives. Owned by a young veterinarian who visits the hotel daily. Good reviews. We recommend the hotel highly.

I would like to commend staff for doing a great job caring for our dog over Christmas. We booked here based on the stellar recommendation of one of my employees. She was correct. The hotel is clean and the staff clearly cares for their guests. They followed my instructions for feeding, treats and medications to the tee. Jean, the kennel manager, showed very personal service.
I am very satisfied that our dog was treated like a VIP. We booked again for next week.

I would like to comment that this kennel is the nicest, cleanist, most well run business that I have ever used. They took great care of our kitty while we were away for the holidays. She was happy and ate well. The cost was very reasonable and there was no hard sell. This is a great place that we highly recommend. We will be back soon.

I would like to thank Jean and the other staff members for taking such pride and concern in caring for our dog while he stayed at the hotel.
He has had in the past, social issues, where he was scared of everyone he did not know. This problem had been an issue each time we boarded him at the kennel close to our home(which will remain nameless). He would return in good shape but very nervous and would take him days to return to his normal self.
When we picked him up last night, after a 7 day stay, he was happy and calm and seemed to love the staff more than me. I have NEVER seen him so happy and uneffected from the stay. THANK YOU ALL.
I recommend this hotel and the entire staff to anyone who wants first class care and pampering at an affordable price.

My husband and I made a last minute decision to bring our Great Dane with us on our trip from Illinois to Philly for the Army Navy game - and we were so glad that we did!!
Jared and the staff at the Philly Pet Hotel and Villas made it easy for us to complete paperwork, pick up before normal hours, and were more than accommodating to our requests.
Bella had a stress-free, loving stay. Jared knew every dog coming in to board and was in tune with their personalities, special needs, and habits.
The stay was exceptional - we wish there were more places like Philadelphia Pet Hotel & Villas!! Thank you again!

I have nothing but praise for the way the staff cared for our dog this past week. She came back to us happy and healthy. Great outdoor spaces and a spotless facility. New indoor training facility under construction. Last kennel (petsmart) we used had my housebroken dog doing her business indoors and was never allowed out. Not the case here.
Great place to leave your pet. Safe. Great staff. A little off the beaten path, but worth the trip.

I give Philly Pet Hotel a huge thumbs up and a 6 star rating. They took great care of my two dogs while they stayed during the Army/Navy game weekend. I was very nervous to kennel my dogs, but they came back to me happy and looking great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Great staff, very friendly and professional. I booked again for Christmas.

I want to publically thank Jarred, Jean and staff for taking GREAT care of our Misty while we were away. Although our trip and reservations at the hotel were last minute, we made a great choice for the safe keeping and care of our dog. She came back home happy and looking great. We will absolutely use you again. Thank you for the peace of mind.

We used this facility for the first time. Our beagle, who is sometimes standoffish, adapted well to the place and the workers. We put him in a luxury villa and he had private play. I received emails about his stay which was nice. We all were happy with the experience and would definately return for another stay. Thank you

I want to personally thank the staff and Jean (you are the best) for taking such good care of our bully Sassy. We were sooo STRESSED as this was the first time ever leaving her. She came home happy. she looked and smelled great.
Thank you again for your great care and for the special attention you gave her in private play. Also, thank you for sending us emails about her stay.

My husband and I routinely board our two Yorkies as we travel frequently. We had been boarding at a kennel in New Jersey for years but our dogs consistently lost weight while they were there. We became concerned as they only with about 8 lbs. My neighbor raved about this facility so we took a tour. VERY IMPRESSIVE staff and facility. So we booked and our dogs stayed 10 days. I have to say they actually came out looking better than when they went in. They were happy, no weight loss, and were more interested in playing with the employees than seeing us after 10 days. Overall we are very satisfied and will return. PS Great groomer on premises also.

I was very excited about Philadelphia Pet Hotel and Villas. They were warm and seemed to love dogs and they seemed professional. It looked clean. When I called to check on my dog, they said that he had red marks on his face from "putting his face up against the cage." They said he was okay and that they were moving him to a quieter pen. I returned a week later to find the side of his face swollen and bruised with a scab. I found several scabs and bare spots on other places on his body. I quietly took my dog home and the next day sent an email asking for an explanation of what exactly happened. A staff member asked me for photos and said that she'd talk to the other staff. I sent the photos and six days later I've heard nothing back, no details, no full information.

We have boarded our 2 dogs many times since this facility became available under the present management. We have always been delighted with the attention they received from the staff. They have been boarded here for as long as 10 days at a time. The facility is very clean and well organized; the dogs seem happy to be there. Jared, the manager, is painstaking, detail oriented, and kind. We've always been able to leave them there knowing that they were happy and in competent, caring hands. I would highly recommend this facility for boarding, daycare, or grooming services.
Philly Pet Hotel was a great place to board my dog for one week during summer vacation. The staff was very efficient and caring for both me and my pet. Jared, especially, took time to personally care for every aspect of my dogs's needs.
I was able to call and check on him every day. Staff was very well informed. I returned to find my dog clean happy and healthy. Even his toys and bedding were cleaned! Thanks Jared and staff for a great experience! I look foward to next year!
This was our first time boarding our 1 1/2 year old Pit Mix, Laylah, and we were a little nervous. I called a few days before we left to book and I felt comfortable with the idea as soon as I talked on the phone to a staff member. There was no "tone" in his voice when I told him she was a Pit Mix. I have gotten this other places.
We booked her for a 3 night stay, a nail trim and a play session. They let me know that they would try her in a group play- but if that didn't work out she would get a private play. I loved that they were willing to give it a shot!
Laylah was a little excited when we got there, but she went happily with a staff member- and that was that. I would have liked to see what the "rooms" were like- but I bet they would be willing to bring me back if I asked. The Pet Hotel will provide food but I brought ours from home and some treats, her blanket and toys.
My husband picked her up- so I don't know if she had group or individual play- but she seemed happy. It seems that her blanket was washed and folded nicely and they gave us back her toys and the remaining treats. She smelled good too!
The only thing I wasn't totally sold on was that her from nails didn't look like they were clipped. The back ones definitely were though so I wonder if Laylah gave them a problem with the front ones.
I tried to book her for the 4th of July weekend (calling a few days before like last time). That was sure a mistake! They were all booked. I learned my lesson to call much MUCH earlier for a Holiday weekend.
We have her booked again this weekend. The 3 times I have called- I have had to leave a message but someone has ALWAYS called me back by the end of the business day.
It is great knowing that we can take a weekend to ourselves and know that Laylah is having a good time and will be happy when we get home.
Thank you to Jared and all of the staff. They obviously love what they do and they are great at it!
This is the first time I have ever used a pet hotel as I have always had a pet sitter. This time I did not have a sitter for my 14 year old dog and I was afraid that he would not adjust well. However, I could not have been more happier. The staff was very helpful and appear to really love what they do. The registration process was simple even on short notice. He stayed for two nights and was groomed as well. The prices were reasonable and although I had to leave a voicemail the first time i called someone called me back to let me know my dog was doing well
If you are looking to kennel your pet while on vacation or for daycare or grooming, look no further. The Philadelphia Pet Hotel & Villas is the place to go. The facilities are clean. The personnel are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Their services are outstanding. I recently had my dog groomed. My dog looks beautiful and he is so happy and proud of his cut and coat. I cannot rave about this business enough.
I thought the place looked great , however I felt the staff were very inexperienced in caring for dogs. Why?Well , I informed the staff at this place that my dogs were not very social , and that one of the three was large and could be agressive to people he doesn't know .I was told by one female staff person that this would not be a problem .I had at least three conversations with this person who assured me that this would not be a problem .So, we booked our trip .On the day that the dogs were to stay we brought them in .2 of the dogs were fine ,one of them was afraid and barked at the staff when ever they approached .They refused to board him .So we of course were unable to find another place on such short notice , so my husband decided he would stay home and care for the dogs .He unfortunately missed out on a vacation with our extended family . It was sad to say the least .And it was expensive because we could not get a refund for his air fair .I thought the staff at this facility were afraid of larger dogs ,and knew very little about dog psychology .I would never attempt to leave my pet with these people. They simply were not equipped to deal with any dog that doesn't roll on his back and offer his belly .
Short Review: ??Two thumbs up for a 5 star pet hotel, if you can leave your baby here, you should not even consider any other facility?.
We left our spoiled miniature schnoodle, Dali, with them for 8 nights in May 2011.
First, this is a hotel, and would not even imagine calling it a kennel. After all the other places I've seen in the area, Philly Pet Hotel is in a class its own. The decor is very tasteful, colorful, neat and sparkling clean.
The ??rooms? for the pets are cute and clean. They do not have ??stacked? areas. Each dog has its own room. The dogs can see the dog across from them but not beside them. We took Dali??s own crate, which they happily accommodated, and it fell to the back of the smallest suite. Their ??luxury suites? are a little bigger and more private. I opted to go with the regular suites as the luxury suites would be too big for Dali.
Second, when I called Jared, he took the time to answer ALL of my questions. He is just a very pleasant and an amazing person. Highlights of their services for me:
- they have staff on site 24 hours a day, the dogs are never left alone
- you can mix and match services, you don??t have to have the same service every day
- they do not charge you extra for the basics (i.e relief walks, feeding his own food)
- they have a vet available to them, in case of any adverse situations
- if Dali is not doing well with the activities, room etc that we chose for him, Jared will call us and let us know of the required changes (A+)
- we can pick-up after hours (an additional fee albeit), instead of leaving him there for an extra day during a holiday
- they require bordatella vaccines every 6 months, Dali??s was up a week prior to our departure, but they offer to provide the vaccine instead of having you run to the vet etc.
Prior to check in, I was gladly given a full tour of the facility without an appointment. I was surprised to see that with all the dogs that they had, there were no dog waste or anything outside in their play ground or where the dogs are taken out. This was unlike ANY other place I??ve been to.
Third, when dropping Dali off, we had an early flight and they were extremely quick with check in, making sure we said goodbye to him.
Jared gave us his card and said that we could email or call him if we had any questions, and just to check on how he??s doing. I didnt have to worry about Dali knowing that he was in great hands. Still, I wrote to Jared to check, and he gave me a report back on Dali??s activities and how he was doing in general. An added comfort for us while on vacation.
Fourth, when picking up Dali, after hours on our way home from the airport, they were equally accommodating. His toys and belongings were neatly packed up and waiting for us. Dali had been washed, brushed and groomed and even had a Philly Pet Hotel blue bandanna on, he looked unbelievably cute! Dali was happy to see us, but he was not ??clingy? or shook up. After saying hello he went back to Meghan and lied in front of her as if to say goodbye. This was my ultimate sign that they were sincerely good with him. Dali was calm, playful and in a very pleasant mood.
Lastly, the pricing is extremely reasonable compared to other places. I cannot even compare the service, skills and the attitude at the Philly Pet Hotel with any of the others I??ve been to before.
The Philly Pet hotel is the only place I will ever leave Dali moving forward. Jared and his staff are the only folks I would trust to pamper Dali at least as much as I do! They are clearly doing what they love to do, have the dog??s best interest in mind and are aware of how the smallest things make a big difference. I love the staff??s attitude with us and Dali as well as the fact that they are all knowledgeable about dog-care. I cannot express how happy I am that we have such a great place near us now too!
Never having left Max, my 11 month old Weimaraner alone, I chose Philadelphia Pet Hotel based on the positive reviews. My family went away for the week of 1/8 until 1/16 and wanted a place we could totally trust. We first had Max stay overnight the week prior to going away as a "trial." He loved his one night stay SO much that there wasn't any hesitation on my part having them care for him for a week. Jarred earned my trust immediately when I asked him all about his facility. It was also easy to tell that his staff loved their work, too.
On the day I dropped Max off for his week of "vacation," he literally pulled off my arm to get in the front door! If his first experience there was bad, he certainly wouldn't have done that!
While my family and I were having fun in the sun on the Mexican Riviera, we didn't once worry about Max. We got an email from the staff with some photos of Max playing in the snow!
When it was time to pick him up upon our return on the 16th, Max seemed a little sad to leave. He left behind a bunch of new buds and a caring staff.
When next year's vacation rolls around, there will be no hesitation where Max will spend the time. I highly recommend this facility. And, if you're flying out of PHL, there's a partnership between the Pet Hotel and Winner Valet Parking. Parking is about 1/2 price if you keep your dog at Phil. Pet Hotel!
I was very impressed with this facility. My dog stayed here for a week while we were on vacation. When we first left him, I was nervous because I wasnt sure how well he would adjust. I called there each day to check on him and I was told he was doing well. He had play time each day and loved it! This Place is immaculate, The staff is very caring and friendly and Jarred is a Doll! Dr Larry who owns The Philadelphia Animal Hospital also owns this facility and makes several visits daily, which really put my mind at ease. This is a GREAT place for your baby to stay! We Love It!!!!!
The worst haircut my dog ever had.....he looks like a cancer patient. She menioned on the phone that he moved when she did his face, but his legs are cut very short and his body long. His hair has no shine. His face is a mess. I have had my dog for three years and he has been going to groomers, no one ever messed him up like this, so its not the dog. Very very disappointed. I would never refer anyone here
This was my first experience boarding my dogs -- I have three JRT's -- and I was quite anxious about leaving them w/ strangers. I think that they sensed my fear b/c they were all really keyed up when I dropped them off, but we arranged to have them stay in the same villa and that at least made me feel better. The updates I received while on my week-long trip help to ease my concerns and when I picked them up, it was like they had spent the week w/ a loving, grandmother who had spent the whole time spoiling them.
Though I don't travel often, I would absolutely board my dogs here again. The cost was reasonable, the staff was wonderful and most importantly, my Jacks had a wonderful time. Thanks Jared!!!
Finally a great "pet hotel" in Center City!!
My wife and I have been trying to find a place where we knew our dogs would be safe and cared for as if they were at home. We tried a few places, but no place seemed to meet our standards. The end result: Our dogs either joined us on trips or stayed with relatives. And if if not with us, we always had a "concern" in the back of our mind when we were away.
Not the case any more with the totally re-done Philly Pet Hotel. We have finally found a place where our dogs will be cared for as well as when they are at home.
We did check this place out a few years ago and it is TOTALLY different from what we saw then. The staff is very caring and very attentive. They sent us a few emails and pics of our pups while we were away and, as jaded as I am, I do think the staff was a little sad to see their little guests leave. More importantly, I think our dogs were a little sad to leave as well.
We had our two dogs share one of the big "villa" rooms with the large bed, pillows, and a window and they seemed very comfortable for the entire stay. (just over two weeks) The 24 hour "on-site" staff, as well as the vet check in during the day (the hotel is owned by a vet) really helped put us at ease.
Very safe, clean, and secure. We will be using this "pet hotel" again!
When I say our dog is spoiled that is an understatement.
Just to give you an idea of how we love to pamper our greyhound baby please consider the following:
-his first birthday with us was spent at the Ritz Carlton in NYC and he had a full bithday party
-he and my husband were featured on Money Magazine's TV segment on dog owners who go over the top
Needless to say - there is nothing we would not do to make our grey baby's retirement the best life ever. We love him as our child and we are very very careful where we board him.
I really have to say that this place is truly like a doggie vacation spot. It is not just kitchy advertising - it really is a doggie hotel.
The staff is extremely loving and attentive and they take any and all special instructions and needs without blinking an eye. The facility is extremely clean and pretty.
Our guy has tried all three of the rooms and they are all equally nice. The villa is a huge room (his had a window) with a huge bed for lounging. The luxury suites are in a large sunlit room with individual stalls and tv's. The regular rooms are very large individual bins, also with natural sunlight.
There is a large back yard for play and walks. The doggies are walked at least 3 times per day. They are finishing an indoor facility for winter play. Also, when you order play time the dogs are not rushed in and out. We called one morning to see if our baby had been groomed so we could pick him up. We were told, "Oh yes, he is actually out back sunbathing right now. He was out playing and then decided to rest for a while" I knew that was the truth because that is exactly what he likes to do at home. A half hour later we went to get him and he was just coming in from the play area looking relaxed and very happy.
ALSO the facility is staffed 24 hours a day. That has been a huge relief for us. I have never been comfortable with the doggies being left alone all evening. I was once at another facility and a dog took ill during the night and no one discovered it until the morning. Since then I have refused to board our guy. It has been great to find a 24 hour place.
Our guy has huge separation anxiety and the staff has really taken special time with him. After the last stay, although he was happy to see us, he looked like he was ready to stay for a bit. In fact he tried to make my husband take him back to the yard again for a walk. The sure sign that he is fine is when he eats all of his food. It took him 3 stays to really get used to the Pet Hotel but I am pleased to say that during his last visit he ate every morsel.
When I tell my dog it's time to go the kennel he runs to door with excitement! The Pet Hotel is great, convenient, clean, and reasonable. The staff is extremely friendly and I trust them completely when taking care of my dog. I would recommend The Pet Hotel to anyone looking for a boarder.
I wanted to write a review to compliment the wonderful service we received from the staff at the Pet Hotel.
We have an elderly lemon beagle, who is incredibly sweet. She had been abused as a puppy in a puppy mill when we adopted her, so she is very timid and shy.
We have had her for 12 years, and care for her as if she was our own child. Therefore, we are super concerned about where we leave her when we have to travel out of town.
When we visited the Pet Resort for a ??preview visit?, the staff was incredibly kind and professional. We decided to give them a try a few weekends ago.
At check in, I explained Lucy??s situation to Jared. He was BEYOND helpful, kind and caring to her. I knew immediately that Lucy would be in good hands, and we were right. Jared recognized that Lucy was a special dog, in that she was so shy & timid. He took Lucy up to the front of the hotel, allowing her to sleep in her bed by his side all day. He really went above & beyond to make us, and Lucy, feel comfortable. What a great guy!
Additionally, the facility is clean, and Lucy came home better than when she left! The entire team takes such pride in your pet hotel, and it shows!!
Too often, people complain about service; today, I wanted to take a moment to simply say thanks for great service. We really appreciate it. You are worth every penny!
This is the one and only place I will leave my two Mini-Pins, Brandy and Candi. Before Dr Larry opened the Villas we did not have anywhere that we trusted for boarding. Brandy has medical issues so we needed a place that could care for her needs. While we were gone Larry came and gave Brandy her insulin shots til the staff was able to do it. The facillity gets an A+ , The staff gets an A+ and Larry, for whom I have known for over 25 Years,( I think I asked you at least 100 times to open a kennel for boarding ) has opened a facillity you will want to use over and over again. After I called everyday to check on them I was able to relax knowing they were in good hands. I will be a frequent customer.
After you see the place I think you will too.
PS Great groomer on premises also
Baxter had never been in a boarding facility or kennel EVER! So we were very nervous. We were leaving for 2 weeks, so we investigated many, many facilities. The Philadelphia Pet Hotel surpassed them all. They understood that Baxter isn't just our dog, he is a family member, and "Our Baby". He throughly enjoyed the group play time with the other dogs. They have indoor and outdoor play areas, not like many other facilities out there. The staff is incredible. They spent serious time getting to know him, learning his wants and needs. The staff welcomed our daily phone calls, checking in on baby boy. Baxter loved the pools and sprinklers every day in outside playtime. Baxter also enjoyed a full grooming spa day before coming home.
I was a customer of what was Family Pet Resort and had kenneled my dog there on a few occassions. I was happy with the service and my dog seemed to like it. I was not happy with a few employees and the overall cleanliness of the place. I made a reservation in July and was informed that the kennels ownership changed hands. After dropping off last week, I was COMPLETELY impressed with the facelift, villas, cleanliness and the new staff. The place is GREAT with an honest, caring and customer oriented staff. Dog did not want to come home. A+
After having had poor experiences with kennels in the past, we were hesitant to leave our dog Dizzy anywhere, but after touring the facility we were 100% confident that PPH&V was the place for us! The staff was friendly and helpful, took the time to show us around and discuss different service/price levels. When we picked Dizzy up three days later, she was energentic and happy - not at all the lethargic and depressed dog we'd picked up from a previous kennel experience. Now at home, I swear she misses the place! We have no worries now that, whenever needed, Dizzy will have a clean, air-conditioned place to sleep with plenty of room to run and a sprinkler to play in! Thanks again!
Dear Dr Rebecchi,
I have been taken Bruno there since you opened up. Up til now everything was great. There have been a lot of changes that don't seem to be working out for Bruno. I think you need to be there for one full day to see how everything is going. I also think you should do a backround check on who gets hired to make sure they are "GOOD WITH ALL SIZE ANIMALS". The family you have working is GREAT MARK JEAN AND SAM THEY TREAT BRUNO AND TAKE CARE OF HIM LIKE HE IS THEIR OWN. Larry u are a great doctor and i love the resort but your workers need to be able to take care of large dogs like Bruno with out being afraid. Bruno is a great dog and we never had a problem but if your workers are afraid of him he wont be able to come back. Please take the time and advice to be there to see how things are handled. Geritt i think his name there is good but that family there is GREAT !!!!!!!!!
Our two dogs recently stayed at the SW Philadelphia location for 3 nights. The staff alleviated any hesitation we had to board them for the first time, even offering updates about their daily activities! They were both friendly and professional.
Also, the accomodations for the dogs were excellent, including the sleeping quarters, optional grooming, and a big play yard.
What more can be said about the positive experience with Pet Hotel & Villas than your pet not wanting to leave with its owners. After a three days stay at the Hotel and Villas, we went to retrieve our Retriever Reg. What we did not expect was that he refused to leave. We begged, pleaded, bribed and cajoled and yet Reg held is ground. We had to literally pick him up to deposit him in our car....what better endorsement than this!! Excellent and clean facility with a staff who should be prized for the love and care with our animals!! Thank you!!
My Snickers is a 5 lb active Yorkie. About 8 months ago I found the Phila Pet Hotel, by accident ,and took a chance. All I can say is WOW! It's the best thing that could have happened to us both. He's there once or twice a week for day camp, where he gets to run and play inside and outside. Whenever I have to go away, I'm completely comfortable leaving him there. The love and care he receives from the entire staff is phenominal. However, I must give special "cudo's" to the family that works there...Jean, Mark, and Sam. They treat Snickers like he's their own. The other day I asked a friend ot pick my baby up from day camp, but forgot to call and tell them. When she got there, Jean refused to give my little one to her, wanted ID and put her through the ringer. In this day and age, when people don't even ask for ID half the time, this showed me just how special this family of pet lovers is. Wherever, Mark, Jean, and Sam are...that's where Snickers will be. Phila Pet Hotel, has my vote for having a beautiful place, and hiring the best staff. Snickers always gets excited the minute we pull up to the hotel. If you're looking for a place to take your four legged family member, don't think twice...run to Phila Pet Hotel.
