Things I love about Carpe Diem:
- Webcam in all classrooms
- Security (fingerprint scan)
- Educated, caring teachers (director has a PhD in child development!)
- Daily music class (even for young toddlers)
- Fresh food provided for lunch and several snacks
- Diapers provided (all you have to bring is a clean blanket each week)

We love Carpe Diem and appreciate all they have done for Cooper and our family. They are easy to talk with. They want to help the success of each child and work with us to do that. Cooper has learned so much, he surprises me every single day. This school is not close to our house, but worth the drive so my child gets the best education at age 4.

This facility cannot be trusted! They will tell you what you want to hear to get enrollment because so many families are leaving, including us! Parents please be aware especially if you have a child with a food allergy! Our son has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy. We chose Carpe Diem Private Preschool in Southlake because they had a "peanut free" policy, which they told us that they were diligent about upholding. Based on their promise, we enrolled our two children. Two days ago, I walked into my sons classroom where there are two students including our son that have a severe allergy to peanuts. A parent, who was well aware of this policy, managed to bring in two-dozen cupcakes that were manufactured in a peanut/tree nut facility. This was able to get passed the front office staff and the teachers that fed this to our son! This is like playing Russian Roulette with our son and the other students life. If there is cross-contamination, a child can die faster than they can call 911 or administer an EpiPen. When a parent is told that their child will be safe and is not safe, you have to question the ability of this school to keep any child safe. After my discovery, I confronted the Assistant Teacher that was ready to feed him another one, as well as, the Director of the school. It was her job to make sure that this product never entered the school and into the bodies of the children affected by this allergy. They failed miserably. In addition, they acted like they simply did not care and that our child's life was of no issue to them. We took them out the next day to take him to his Allergist and his Doctor. The day after that, we brought them back to the school to discuss the situation further and to give them a letter from his Allergist acknowledging the life threatening situation that they put our child in. The Director then went on to tell us that they are no longer a Peanut Free school and that our child would be safer, which is huge contradiction. They took away their liability and put it on the teachers, as well as, lied to my face. If they could not keep my child safe when it was a Peanut Free school how could they possibly keep my child safe when peanut and peanut products can enter freely into their school and into my child randomly. They do not care about safety; they care about their bottom line! They want the enrollment but could truly care less about the families and children that are enrolled! If an innocent child of three years old cannot be kept safe there then no child is safe there. This is not the first issue that we have had with this facility but it is, by far, the most severe as our child's life could have been lost. If you love your children the way we do you would want them safe and they clearly are not at this facility!

My daughters.... the most important people in the world.. they deserve the best......CARPE DIEM in Southlake. Not only do they care for my girls like I would want them to, they have an amazing learning environment.. I am deeply fortunate to have found this school; the owners are incredibly nice people who are totally involved with the day to day activities...

This preschool was exactly what we were looking for to enroll our 3 year old daughter. The teachers are highly educated, low student to teacher ratios, top-notch learning activities which include a spanish teacher, and the facility is safe and secure. The facility is also very clean and orderly. All of the staff know us and our daughter. It really feels like we are part of a big family and they actually care about my daughter and her educational success.

I have recommended this school to many neighbors and friends. I would highly recommend considering Carpe Diem for your child as well.

My husband and I looked at every preschool in Southlake and Carpe Diem was heads and shoulders above the rest. As we kept looking at other places Capre Diem came back again and again in our discussion as the best. We decided to give it a try. We were hesitant since our 2 1/2 year old daughter had never gone to school before or been away from home. She is very shy and not used to being around people. However, the school is fantastic. She is making friends and very interested in all of the activities. She looks forward to going to school in the mornings and talks all about what she did when she gets home. She loves the school a lot. The teachers are super friendly, knowledgeable, degreed, and very good at working with kids. They have separate Spanish and music classrooms and teachers. They have breakfast, lunch, and snacks all included which is great.
I love the cameras ( no other places offer that), it gives me piece of mind: anytime I want I can make sure she is ok. The school is very organized, clean and the staff is friendly. The kids are taught good manners and always have fun things to do. The lesson plans are posted online so you always know what your child is going to be learning about today/ this week or month. No time to be bored or miss home with all the fun projects going on. We highly recommend this preschool , and if we had to chose again, we would definitely choose Carpe Diem. We would not consider any other school for our child. It is worth it to pay a little more for the best education and environment for our child!

My husband and I are extremely picky when it comes to a place for our 2 yr old daughter to attend preschool. After months of looking at schools we decided on Carpe Diem and have been super happy with our decison.
It's great to see a school with a well-thoughtout learning program, and that has college-degreed teachers (in early child education) who provide a wonderful teaching environment, are well organized and that keep things clean and sanitary as they should be!
I also love that I can view my daughter online anytime I want and that she has access to a covered outside playgound area that's really nice and when it's rainy she has a huge activity center indoors to run around in:-)

My two sons, ages 2.5 and 1.5, attend Carpe Diem Preschool Southlake and we absolutely love it. I visited several preschools and Montessori programs prior to starting our sons here and by far Carpe Diem Southlake was our choice. I cannot say enough about the caring staff, super clean facilities and peaceful learning environment.
Take the time to make one visit to the Southlake facility and I am certain that you will be as impressed as I was and continue to be.

Our kids started here in December. We chose it because first and foremost the security. The ability to watch your children on webcam from ipad or from work is extremely comforting to us. Additionally, the kids LOVE it, don't want to leave and ask why they can't go on the weekends! Daily Spanish and Music is awesome. Not to mention the fact that we don't even need to take diapers or lunch since that is provided as well is such a stress reliever for us. Everything here is top of the line from the diapers to the educators. You will not be disappointed with your decision!

I cannot say enough good things about this school. I've toured most of the schools in the area, and my daughter attended Creme de la Creme in Colleyville prior to Carpe Diem's opening.

It's staffed 100% by teachers with degrees in childhood education. The facility is beautiful and I love being able to login online and watch her during the day.

I travel for work, so this feature is execptionally valuable to me. Their staff is far more mature than the others in the vacinity.

I'm one of those parents who wants the very best childcare I can find for my child- and I found it at Carpe Diem.

We have lived in Southlake for 5 years and this is the nicest preschool we have come across in terms of facilities and environment. We are most impressed with the quality of teachers and the attention/care provided to our 2 year-old. Our daughter learns Spanish, Music and Computer every day in addition to lots of play/story time and art work. We have always believed that exposing a toddler to more than one language and music are very critical to her development, so Carpe Diem really meets our need with regard to that.

I can't say enough about the quality of teachers at Carpe Diem Southlake. I didn't realize the big difference between a college grad specializing in early childhood education and a regular care taker until I sent my daughter to Carpe Diem.

So far, we are very happy with our experience with Carpe Diem. It is a preschool that exceeded our expectation (we were so used to regular preschool and adjusted our expectation accordingly :-)

"Michelle M." aka Michelle Macauba Nguyen that left the comment above works for Vere Southlake Equity who is the owner of Carpe Diem Preschool in Southlake. Shameless. Wait for real reviews instead of posting fake reviews. May be a good school. Who knows but they are already using smoke and mirrors to give you a false sense of security. Sound like honest people I would like to leave my children with.
