first time we went was new years eve.... before we went out. They have great pizza, but also serve lots of other Italian dishes. It seemed to have a lot of locals in there.

Great food for family dinner or lunch. The food seems to be high quality with reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and the food seems to be very authentic!

Growing up in a small town, I cant help but fall in love with little, independently owned restaurants. I moved here in 2006 for some job training, and my wife and I eat here whenever we're in the mood for a little date. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. I have to say the calamari is outstanding, and the portion sizes are massive, so plan on taking some home! It's charmingly small and impressively personal! You'll find the atmosphere makes it incredibly easy to focus on one another, easy going and quiet with no distractions, candlelight on some tables, and peaceful music floating in the air. I've not had any problems with the service or food in Caruso's. Of course I leave you with one small piece of advice... don't go there and order the spaghetti and meatballs, it may be the cheapest thing on the menu but in the end you're just denying yourself the dining experience of a lifetime by creeping back to something familiar. Try something new! You'll not regret it!

Pros: I've never tasted such delicious alfredo in my life!

Cons: You might feel the food in your stomach, as well as your wallet. Traditional Italian Restaurant Prices do apply.

I went this place on Dec. 14 for a late dinner. My wife ordered a pasta and I ordered THE ?Ocean Platter?, all because of calamaris (the tiny little squids which I love the sensation to chew their soft tentacles and satanic sepia sacks). The menu said, ?Calamari, shrimp and red snapper marinated in our specially prepared seasoning?.? Anyway I met my shrimps and my snappers. But I never met any trace of the calamari until I finished the dish. So I told the waiter to ask the chef what happened to my little molluscans. ?Are they all gone for vacation in the Monterey Bay?? I asked. The waiter told me, about 10 minutes later with the bill in his hand, ?Our chef is off duty this evening. And the cook for today didn't remember what he put in the dish?. The cook never remembered what he put! And I?ve never remembered to hear a word such as S-O-R-R-Y.\r\nA Calamari lover from Los Angeles
