Elahi yoga is a truly great find. Being in NYC from the UK for several months now we have tried many places and this is a brilliant set up. My 4 year old daughter loves it there and can't wait to go each week. She really enjoys the attentive teaching in the classes, which are brilliant at involving every child and she also spends a lot of time in the spacious airy playroom afterwards - I have trouble dragging her away! I love the friendly approch where everyone there makes me feel so very welcome, plus the space itself is great: clean, bright, airy and colourful for the kids. Go - you won't regret it!

Elahi Yoga is a very unique children?s playspace in Manhattan. I have been to so many other childrens facilities in Manhattan (Upper East Side), but no other place feels as warm and welcoming as Elahi. The surroundings and all the instructors are so attentive and sincere, always with the intention that children in New York City should feel as though the studio is their second home. The owner Kami is genuinely thoughtful, always trying to please the children and their respective families.
My daughter had her 3rd birthday party there, which was an absolute blast. The owner Kami was very involved in allowing me to personalize my daughters party as much as possible and it made my daughter feel as though Elahi Yoga Studio was a true extension of her own home. My daughter loved it so much, it really was a wonderful milestone for her and she still talks about it almost a year later!!
The classes at the studio are very engaging and wonderful for children. This is not run like the typical business of a Manhattan kids facility, but rather the environment feels like a home. After a class, you are always welcome to hang out for a little while longer. You never feel rushed out. Elahi Yoga is truly a blessing in a city that has their moms always on the go?sometimes kids/families just need a cute townhouse to relax and feel comfortable!

My daughter had her second birthday party @ Elahi. She did not want to leave. Whenever I say we are going to Elahi she is rushing me out the door. She already knows yoga poses and always wants to sing along. Kami the owner is a great yoga instructor. Elahi is like our second home.

I recently moved from Michigan to NYC for Graduate School, and in the midst of my search for a low-key part-time job to fill some spare time I stumbled across Elahi. From the moment I walked into the space, I was completely overwhelmed by the bright hand-painted walls, the welcoming atmosphere, and the kind instructors, families, and kids, who belonged there.

The studio is a kiddie-wonderland, filled with music, bright-colors, toys, and little yogini's in training. The kid's can come and take part in everything from Sports focused to Story-time Yoga, or just to play, dance, dress-up, or even have their Birthday Party. The space is also very well kept, and clean (trust me, I know! And if there is any doubt, the owners' own daughter spends most of her days here so that's gotta tell you something). So I get to spend a few hours a day doing headstands with the most adorable little new yorkers, what more could I ask for (oh yea, and I dont have to wear shoes!)

All in all this is a great place filled with great people, and I would recommend it to anybody with children from 0-7 who is looking for a place to come relax, play around, and do some yoga!

I am so excited to find Elahi Yoga posted here for all to discover! My family was lucky enough to find Elahi over a year ago - right before my little one was turning 4. From the instant she started to attend classes at Elahi, she fell in love with both yoga and the people involved at this special space and place! The owner and the people she brings in care deeply about the children who participate in Elahi's unique curriculum. It has become a fun, energizing (and yes, even peaceful) escape each week she goes - finding new friends, new challenges, and new poses each time! A true treasure in this big city.
