This is by far the best boot camp I have found in Austin! The trainers are very knowledged in what they do and they really try to make you feel like you are the only person in class. The personal attention I receive is awesome. If you are interested in trying something different and want to see results while also meeting some gerat new people, this is definitely worth a shot! Rockbody Boot Camp is the BEST!

I have been with Rockbody Bootcamp since the first month they opened, this past January. My body has changed so much in this year and I have become so much stronger than I thought I could be. I am in my mid 40's and I feel like I am in my mid 20's! I have watched this bootcamp grow to be known as one of the best boot camps, yet I never got that "big bootcamp" feel from Courtney or Brian. They made sure to still always know everyone's name and work with each person to help achieve what they wanted to do. I can't wait to see how much I grow and change in my 2nd year! Thank you Brian and Courtney! You have jumpstarted my life again.

This wasn't my first boot camp. I was a faithful participant of a boot camp in KC. I think boot camps are a fun, easy way to combine cardio and strength training and stretching. Since I moved here, I've been hesitant to try some of the camps - it seems that the time and places never worked with my schedule.

I was sold on the location and the times/dates and the review on yelp and the reviews on citysearch and their website. I also saw that some of the pics had the same exercises that my old KC boot camp did.

I was excited about this camp. However, after attending a class, I wasn't motivated to come back. I guess part of my disappointment is that reviews don't state what goes on during boot camp. So, here's the rundown so new people can judge whether this camp is for them or not.

Here is what I experience:
warm-up - some light exercises and jogging one or two laps

strength and core training - most of these are decent but what I found lacking was there wasn't always instructions on "modified" versions for those of us who are beginners.

relays - I literally flashed back to bad high school gym classes. This part isn't for me because I'm not competitive with other people. I set goals for myself and I work towards those goals. But having me on a team racing in relays doesn't work for me. Oh and the losing teams have to do 10 herkels or jerkies or bursties (or whatever those exercises you see track people do..). Sometimes winning teams get a pass but other times the winning teams have to do the same exercises but less (like 5).

When relays are done, there is about 5 - 10 minutes left in class. Instead of stretching and cooling down, the class gets right back into more core and strength training. We're told that they don't do stretching and that we need to stretch on our own and drink plenty of water. I don't agree with that. First of all, not everyone knows what kind of stretching they should do. Secondly, by the time the person gets in their car and drives home, their time for stretching has passed. Even with my stretching, I was still sore for about 4 days.

Unfortunately, this was one groupon that didn't "work out" for me. I think from here on out, I'll see if I can watch a camp before paying for a class. I certainly won't drop $60 again on a boot camp package.

Having a group of people that are all there together for the same purpose makes working out a blast, since I know I am not the only one in pain ?. The trainers are so nice and so accommodating. The thing with this boot camp I haven?t found with any of the others is that if I have a last minute work trip come up, since I travel a lot, Courtney is always sure to put my time on hold so I don?t lose any time I have paid for. I had a trip planned with my family to go out of the country even for 3 weeks and I was even able to get that extra 3 weeks added to my end date so I didn?t lose a day! I have never been to another place that will do this. It really lets you know they are there to make sure to get what you paid for and are not just out to get your money. I have never been a morning person, but working out from 530-630 is a perfect time! Getting a great workout in and still being home to get kids ready for school is wonderful. Plus I love the fact that I'm getting plenty of fresh air before I head into the office for the day.

I get at least 5 compliments per week from friends and co-workers about it. I feel better and more confident and physically powerful than I ever have in my life. Why is Rockbody so great and why has it given me such great results?

First, as with most businesses, it starts with the owners (who are also the trainers). Courtney and Brian are not in this for the money; they have day jobs and their fees are very low. They are in it because they genuinely care about each client reaching their max physical potential. They are always cheerful and are prepared with a completely new set of exercises each time. They know your name, they know what you can do, they know how to push you to challenge yourself, and they know how to keep it fun and motivating. They know what they are doing. Can't say enough good things about them.

Second, they have honed in on the secrets to a great workout. The typical Rockbody workout consists of some warmup exercises to get your heart rate up, a variety of strength exercises, a cardio workout, and a core workout on a mat. This format is so successful because your heart rate is elevated for the full hour, while you do the strength, cardio, and core work. Because the routine is so different every time, you mix pliometrics, weights, balancing, running, sprinting, fitness games and tests, etc. in different forms every session--ie, muscle confusion. I think my results have been earned because they have thought this out so well and it's an extremely efficient hour of exercise.

I will be sticking with Rockbody for as long as they are around, hopefully forever. When I started in January 2010, they had two or three locations and a handful of bootcampers. In nine months they have exploded in terms of locations and the number of bootcampers, and have become one of the most popular bootcamps in Austin. This is not a coincidence and it is not luck. My highest recommendation and heartfelt thanks go out to Rockbody!!

The typical Rockbody workout consists of some warmup exercises to get your heart rate up, a variety of strength exercises, a cardio workout, and a core workout on a mat. This format is so successful because your heart rate is elevated for the full hour, while you do the strength, cardio, and core work. Because the routine is so different every time, you mix pliometrics, weights, balancing, running, sprinting, fitness games and tests, etc. in different forms every session--ie, muscle confusion. I think my results have been earned because they have thought this out so well and it's an extremely efficient hour of exercise.

I will be sticking with Rockbody for as long as they are around, hopefully forever. When I started in January 2010, they had two or three locations and a handful of bootcampers. In nine months they have exploded in terms of locations and the number of bootcampers, and have become one of the most popular bootcamps in Austin. This is not a coincidence and it is not luck. My highest recommendation and heartfelt thanks go out to Rockbody!!

Well I started at Rockbody bootcamp after discovering them on groupon in April. I signed up and the next test was trying to figure out which bootcamp would be the nearest to my house. I live in Lakeway and when I joined there was only 5-6 locations but I am a person that prefers to workout in the morning. So I figured that Cedar Park would be my closest option at 5.30am. This means me getting up at 4.30am to travel 15miles to be at the bootcamp on time at 5.30am. My husband may not be happy with my alarm going off but he definitely is happy with the change in my body. He constantly jokes with his friends about "my guns". I was thrilled when Courtney and Brian made me aware that they are opening 2 locations in the Lakeway area in the upcoming weeks. So now my husband gets to hear my alarm clock going off 5 times instead of the usual 3.....I will have to convince him the guns were a little to small and I needed a couple of AK 47's!!!!

I really enjoy the change of pace that Courtney offers at the bootcamp and I am thrilled that more locations are being added. It is great value for money to pay the 3 months in advance for $65 and have unlimited use. Any of the other bootcamps I have researched only allow a limited or pre-specified number of classes per month. I will take full advantage of getting my butt whipped into shape and hope the Courtney in Brian don't haze me if I can't make it to 7mins on my next fit test......practice make perfect though and there is nothing I love more than a challenge!

Great value for money. Great for getting fit. Great for being outside and leaving the monotony of the gym behind. Great for doing things a little different than the usual. Love it and looking forward to many more good times ahead!

Great way to start getting in shape or break the routine of boring workouts!

Ok, so I started "working out" sometime in the last year and changed my eating habits and lost about 20 lbs. I was stuck in my plateau when I came across Rockbody. The very first day was absolutely shocking to me and my body. I did NOT know I could "keep up" with athletes, being that I have never been athletic AT ALL (I love that any questions or concerns are always quickly addressed by Courtney). I continued to attend and slowly got into shape. It has been about 6 months now and I have now lost 2 sizes and am in pretty good shape. I love the workouts (even though I complain at times - sorry Court) I am not skinny or even think like I have lost a ton of weight, but I feel GREAT. I always have fun challenging myself and learning that I can push my body more and more. Brian is always encouraging to give more and Courtney always challenges us with some unique exercises and activities.

I now workout about 4-5 times a week; I love that Rockbody has multiple locations all over town that allows me to attend to several locations, IE: Cedar Park HS, McNeil HS and recently I tried Mueller Park. Working out in a group with experienced people like Brian and Courtney is the greatest way to workout. I know that they are finding more people to help run newer bootcamps - I trust that they will do just as well as them.
