I've been in this store twice, once I had to wait for about 10-15 minutes, the other time I was helped almost right away. Both times, once I was helped, the transactions went smoothly, so I can't really complain. I'm pretty easy-to-please, though, and don't make any unusual demands on my phone. I'd like to be able to call people and send texts. It was clear by how I talked to the customer service person that they weren't used to such an easy customer. I saw the horrible reviews here so wanted to give my experience. The only horrible problems I've had have been my fault (losing my phone, dropping it in water, etc.).

I don't often write reviews for anything but seeing all these slams makes me want to take a stand. Yes, cell phone stores are annoying - they're like the post office - frustrating and disempowering. While not everyone is equally good, I have had excellent service here, above and beyond the call of duty. I bought a BlackBerry and the salesman, Carl, could not have been more helpful setting it up, transferring my data, enabling third-party software, etc. He must have saved me hours. I have had occasion to get support from other techs there and if they couldn't answer my questions, they have been unflaggingly nice. This is a good, helpful staff that on the whole cares about the customer. Also, the people watching at this location is pretty great, too.

Recently, my phone broke and I made the mistake of going to this store to fix the problem. Long story short, I had to make three separate trips to this store, being placed LAST ON THE WAITLIST EACH OF THE THREE TIMES IN ONE DAY, to deal with the ABSOLUTE MORONS BEHIND THE COUNTER. I had to leave the store before possibly assulting the clerk in charge, not to mention the technicians. I really got the feeling that they did not want me to have a working phone. Communicating your problem and getting an idea of possible solutions is a painstaking process. Bring a whiteboard and possibly pre-made flowcharts and diagrams for these idiots.

As it turns out, the "new phone" they gave me one month ago to replace my broken one has a defective battery and will no longer turn on. It is literally making me miserable to think I must go ther again, tomorrow, and deal with the employees. I am genuinely sad. I don't usually write reviews online, but PLEASE, I must warn you, do not go to this store, unless you are going to attempt to shut it down. I am beside myself with angst at the mere thought of the Verizon Wireless Santa Monica Location.
