Reddy Syamala MD FACS

I was referred to Dr. Reddy for a diabetic eye exam. I had no diabetic damage but I did have cataracts. He removed my cataracts and did another procedure to lessen my astigmatism. Before surgery my vision was left eye 20/400 right eye: 20/200. After surgery I have 20/20 vision and for the first time in 45 years don't have to wear glasses. In addition Dr. Reddy spotted symptoms of Myasthenia Gravis, a rare disorder, and referred me to a neurologist who made the diagnosis. Dr. Reddy was the only doctor who spotted the symptoms and put 2 and 2 together. So lets be frank.... yes he's slow but so what? In these days of 5 minute doctor visits it's a pleasure to find a physician who will take the time necessary to see that you get all the medical care you need!! I think it's worth it! I'm in my 60s and have been to MANY doctors. Dr. Reddy is tops in my book.

Ok, Dr Reddy is very good at what he does, however he is extremely slow, I have yet to figure out if that is because he is so thorough or what. I do know that his office overbooks appointments. His first appointment is at 8:00 although he never shows up before 9:00 (at the earliest) He is alays appologizing for his tardiness. And although this may sound negative it isn't meant to be he is GOOD, and in great demand. I do have trouble understanding his accent and parking is horriable...but he must be worth it because although me (and lots of others) complain, we keep coming back because our sight can not be trusted to just anyone...only the best !!!

PROS: Expert in his field
CONS: Parking, Overbooking
