I was recently at Aspen Dental in Newburgh NY for a cleaning. The staff was great ! They all greeted me as soon as I walked in. The wait wasn't long and the cleaning was great. I have a few spots that i have to watch out for and the Doctor

Before you go to any aspen dental office you should read the reviews of the other ones in this franchise. Apparently they are a chop shop. I've seen it refered to as a "Jiffy Lube." Every review I've read has said that they over charge you, and tell you that you need work that you do not actually need. I went to this particular Aspen Dental, and have been twice. What all of the other reviews said happened to me. They told me that I needed about $4000.00 of work. ALL I WANTED WAS A CLEANING! I have no pain in any of my teeth. THEY TOLD ME I NEED A ROOT CANAL! The x-rays all came out gray, and even the doctor said he had trouble reading them. He said, "the contrast is supposed to be black and white, but these are gray... it's hard to make anything out." Yet, they tell me I need a root canal. Goodness me. The first time I went, I waited an hour and a half just to see the dentist, while the dentist was right next to me in another "partition" arguing with a patient about how his dentures have been hurting him. Apparently (since I heard the entire conversation) they guy paid $3000.00 for his dentures, and they hurt him, and the didn't fit right. He said he was wearing his old dentures still, and the doctor was arguing with the guy that there was no way that the dentures couldn't fit, and that the reason his old ones fit was because they were old and worn out (??? seems illogical to me). Nevertheless, the dentist came in, couldn't read the x-rays, didn't even both poking around in my mouth at all. Blew some cold air on the tooth he said needed the root canal. I told him I didn't have any pain, and he still insisted I needed a root canal.
In my opinion, I would not reccomend this office. They don't really seem like they have their act together, and their major M.O. appears to be profit margins. Needless to say, I will be going back to my old dentist even though he is about an hour from where I work. It's worth the drive!!

My first visit, wasn't too pleased and very disappointed. My expections of this business was a little more than what I thought. Really didn't provide the full service I required.
