At every turn this company got it WRONG. I found this company by searching on the internet. Customer service guy is friendly enough and they were able to take my phone in for repair just before July 4th of this year. I was very happy for this because I had to travel extensively over the next month and my schedule was very hectic. I would be leaving out on July 6th for an extended business trip so I didn't have time to look at the phone myself.

I mention that because I actually work as a technology consultant on the marketing side for a major carrier. I could have done this repair myself as I have done repairs on the same phone before, but I just didn't have time that week. This is where the bad stuff began...

I received a call that same day stating that my phone was ready. I made the trip back from downtown to Addison only to find that the right third of the screen was not functioning correctly. The customer service rep told me that his technician said it was the OS. So they advice me to wipe my data for a factory reset. No luck! So they take the phone back for more repairs.

I go back to work and then get a call at the end of the day that it was ready. I go to back to Addison again and the phone has a 3mm air gap on the top. The customer service rep stated that the technician found a little glass left from the old screen in there. It looked really odd, but the functionality was correct. I discussed it with the customer service rep and he smiled and said "Well, you have a 90 day warranty so if something comes up let us know and we would be glad to fix it." My repair cost was around 180.00. I told him that was satisfactory and I was happy to have my phone ready for the trip. Little did I know I had just been duped...

The little air gap wasn't from glass. It was because the technician hastily installed the screen with the digitizer ribbon cable on top of the LCD display instead of behind it to spec. The non-OEM part he installed wasn't any better. The response never quite worked the same as the original P925 should. He used a P920 part because they are cheaper and more accessible online basically. I confirmed later with HTC, a client of mine, who examined the phone who stated that the ribbon cable was horribly installed and that caused the problems that my phone had.

Here we are just shy of 60 days and the screen is getting worse and response is just off. So I am testing some websites we are developing for a client and the response stops altogether. I think, well I will call them and get it rectified through my warranty. "Satisfaction Gauranteed" right? I mean that is the main image of their facebook page.

The same smiling customer service rep greeted me and then took the phone back to the "technician". He comes back out and says we can take care of it for you for 189.00. I was obviously concerned so I stated "I am under warranty." He says yeah, but my tech said you damaged the screen, look here at the bottom. I told him it had been there when the original repair was done because it WAS. I also mentioned the air gap. So he says one minute...

The manager, a tall slender foreign man comes out and says "you have obviously damaged this screen by lifting the glass up." I told him I most certainly had not and if he brought is CSR back out he would confirm that I accepted the device hesitantly in the beginning because of the air gap but based on the fact that they warranty work for 90 days. He said "you think I would let a repair like this go out of my shop?" I told him that he did and showed him the shotty glue at the top of the phone and the air gap. "Well why did you accept it?" I told him about the travel and the CSR's comments when I hesitated. I also told him that I work as a consultant for my mobile carrier and have repaired may HTC One X phones myself. He attacked me again saying "and you accepted a phone like this. Well, I think you lifted that screen yourself!" At this point we go back and forth and he states "look, I can repair the phone for you for 159.99." I wasn't looking for a handout. If I had damaged the phone legitimately I would have payed to finish up my website testing. We went back and forth about the original repair and his warranty and he says "look, I can repair the phone for 139.99." I guess his inner barterer was coming out but I am an honorable lifelong Texan who does what he says and expects the same so I am not having it.

They are not accredited with the BBB, whom I filed a complaint with anyways and I am also finding out that they do not have official approval from brand and legal to use the logos of manufacturers they put on their advertisements.

Like I said, anyone can hold a promotion to get user reviews and pay an SEO shop for marketing, but this is a real review, not just keywords.
