This is the car dealership you were always warned about to avoid! Unethical sales practices and dishonesty when confronted about it. I always used to have my car serviced at Honda dealerships and mistakenly believed they were more ethical than independent facilities. When I moved to San Diego, I needed my car serviced so I went to Honda Mission Valley. Big mistake! I needed new brake pads and they tacked on extra fees such as "machining the rotors" without my consent. Apparently they do this often. I did not not sign any authorization form for anything until after the job was complete, meaning they could have tacked on anything. I tried to resolved the issue with the BBB and Honda Mission Valley flat out lied and distorted information. They tried to offer me a full credit of the refund I was requesting or a drastically reduced cash refund. No way would I ever go back to their facility and the refund offered was a joke, so I declined both. There are many other more honest and ethical Honda service facilities out there. Save your money and avoid Honda MIssion Valley at all costs.

We own 2 Hondas, including a Ridgeline and I go there 15 miles outside of my neighborhood to get them serviced. I only deal with Daniel Dees and he is someone I wish all service people would take after. He has resolved all our issues with our hondas routine or otherwise.

Horrible customer service.
I purchased a CR-V on March 09. A few weeks after the purchase, it started producing a very loud rattling noise every time I started the engine. I took it twice to the Dealership and they couldn't figure out the reason of the noise. The third time they dismantled the engine and "fixed" it. My husband picked it up and a few blocks later the CR-V started blowing smoke and went dead. It was towed and when we talked to the mechanic the next day he treated us very ,very, very disrespectfully.
We asked for a new vehicle or a refund of the purchase price, since the CR-V was just a couple of months old , it had a major engine problem and I didn't feel safe driving it. . The "manager" told me that they couldn't take the vehicle back because they would have to re-sell it at a loss.
In other words, I had to take the loss of a defective product, of the several hours missed at work and several repairs done by other mechanic.
I am not so mad at the vehicle being defective. I am really upset at the manner the whole situation was managed.
I'll never own a Honda again.
