We've been here twice, once for dinner and once with our kids for Sunday brunch. Both times, the food was excellent and the service was great. Great wine selection. For brunch, we had the scrambles and both scrambles were really, really good. We will be back again soon!

We kind of waited for Pinot to get through its opening growing pains. From our recent lunch it seems like they still have a ways to go. Service was incredibly slow (place was empty) and the food took forever - again, the place was empty. In additon we had to wait awhile to try and pay. We were a party of six all drinking waters - no refills. Manager and kitchen staff kept walking by and not helping their servers. Again, not busy. Mussels and frites were ok but were drenched in sausage and sausage grease - no mention of sausage anywhere on the menu.

A couple of weeks ago I was hosting a business group from out of state. There were 19 in our party. I have hosted several large groups before, and I must admit that it can be very challenging to keep everyone happy.

We were seated in the back of the restaurant in the room behind the wine cooler.

First of all I want to compliment Glen and Jason. (I hope I remembered their names correctly.) I arrived a little early and they were both very attentive and asked several important questions. They asked if we wanted some group appetizers and what "pace" did I want for the evening.

The appetizers were amazing. They brought seafood platters that were outstanding and I really enjoyed the duck fat fries. Everything was very good, and there were so many different things I don't know how to describe it all.

Glen and Jason were also very good at providing the right level of service. They were attentive, but not intrusive. This is a very hard balance to achieve with a large group.

We ordered too many different things to list, but it was all outstanding. I do remember that the fillet and pork chops seemed to be a favorite.

Lastly, I want to mention the price. During the meal I was a little concerned that I might be exceeding my budget. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the final bill. It was at least 20% lower than I anticipated. I know several other restaurants that would have charged much more for this type of experience.

I will be dining there again.

The great thing about Pinot is the food and location.
Now here's what I have to say about my lunch experience: the hostess rudely asked me to move my wallet (small in size) off the table right next to me because she said she "might" need to use it for other customers. Meanwhile 80% of the restaurant is empty. A group does come in but she doesn't seat them next to us but right behind us, again, w/80% of the place empty. WHY??? So we can all bump chairs for the next 30 mins and for the waitstaff to bump into me 10 times?

Plus, the staff is nice, but too nice can be irritating. They came and asked us if we wanted breat 3 times when we said "no thank you" the 1st time and then interrupted us several more times during the meal and to pour water as soon as we took a sip. It's nice to be attentive but this was overkill....

Our friends had family visiting from out of town and wanted to take all of us to the grand opening of the new Pinot American Brasserie last night.
Everything seemed to go right, a parking spot opened up on right on the corner and it was exactly 7pm so we didn't have to feed the meter, perfect so far.
Greeted warmly by the front desk gals, fresh clean look inside but it was opening night so I would hope so, news crew was there to cover the opening as well.
We were seated next to a clear wine room which separated us from more seating in the back of the restaurant. very nice.
Our out of town couple was very impressed with the seafood bar so we ordered a crab leg and a few crawfish for appetizers.
Most things on the menu were priced under $20. My wife quickly called dibs on the filet mignon so I braced myself for ridicule and boldly ordered the $9.50 burger, listening to a few chuckles from my party but I love burgers.
Good thing I did because WOW, truly the best burger I ever ate! It was one of those meals you think about the next day. I sampled the filet mignon, awesome!
Everyone ended up trying to out-do the others with food from their plates.
Perfect night, we will be back, This is definitely the impress-your-guests spot for us in the future.

Pros: Burger-WOW, Seafood Bar, Filet Mignon

Cons: Name is tough to remember (and spell)

Love love love the duck trio! Also really like the atmosphere; high ceilings and very open; nice bar area too! I thought at first it would be a tad noisy but my husband and I were sat at a 2 top right in the heart of everything and had wonderful conversation. While I love the atmophere (modern, clean lines, see above) I thought, "hipster but not so romantic" - however, after it started to get dark outside and the lights were dimmed...I was proven wrong! VERY romantic at that point. My hubby even took a client back for lunch today and said they both loved their food. Great selection of seafood (I had the white gulf prawns - spicey sweet and yummy). Great selection of all kinds of wines (don't let the name Pinot fool you!); highly recommend both the Tulpen Syrah & Amalvi (sp?) from Walla Walla. I will be back and hope they are around for a long time to come.
