What A joke!! do it your self before calling this guy, made a bigger mess than i have ever seen, spent more time cleaning up after this slob, shows up drunk, don't pay him before work is done if you made the mistake of hiring him, tiles are so off set , glue every where , destroyed my oak wood work, not safe to use this contractor! also going the names MIKES TILE , MILL TILE & STONE & MIKE LILLGE
He quoted me for approximately 25 sq feet of splash guard in my kitchen. Thought his price was fair ($450.00), so I gave him the job. The tiles are 2x2 granite. Unfortunately his gluing skills are lackluster in the least. I don't believe that he was careful to smooth out the glue evenly, therefore some tiles stick out more than they should. As to his cutting ability that is even worse. Below my windowsill none of the tiles were cut to the same height evenly. Instead of starting and one end and working to the end of the wall he cut the tiles in the middle of the wall to accomodate the length. Words cannot describe my frustration and anger at his unprofessional cutting and gluing. My eight year old cat could have done better. Grouting - mmmhhhmmm, that's even a more horrendous story. He had grout everywhere, a piss poor job with it having a clean line at where the tile started and ended. There was plenty of grout under on the cabinents too. When it came time to cleaning the grout (it had been sealed the night that it was glued), his work was abominable. He stated that he had cleaned it three times and told my sister that when I came home from work that I needed to reblot all of it. Really, I never agreed to that part, especially when I wouldn't be home from work until 7:30 pm. He was so careless, he had grout on my wooden dining room chair, on a wooden chair in the living room plus had dripped grout water throughout the living room on my wood floors. That wasn't even the worst, he had so much grout under the stove it took scrubbing it with solution twice. I won't even bring up that he had placed a row of tile behind the refrigerator extending past the counter top. I spent 8 hours using an industrial grout remover to get most of the haze off. His fair price turned out to be rather expensive for my taste.
I do have pictures of his disaster. Oh and by the way his name is Mike Lillge (and if the IRS is reading this, the checks were made out to him personally - not his business name), just saying.
NO, NO, NEVER would I recommend this tiling disaster man.
These guys must have been high on crack or Mike himself is writing these reviews. This guy is a dirtbag. i've read plenty of other reviews that say the same. i met him, and in retrospect, was glad that i decided to go elsewhere's. Save your money, call a NINJA or Lakeside tile, maybe Lippert.
It completely reflects my husband and my style.Of the greatest importance, they worked with our very limited budget and was able to get the materials necessary to create the look we wanted within our budget. I am so very thankful for her designer??s eye, her patience and creativity with pulling together the look we wanted without breaking our bank!Thank you for your remarkable design! It is so much more than we could have ever imagined! All our Best,
I am unbelievably amazed and excited about my new kitchen! I could not have imagined that it would turn out so beautifully. They designed my kitchen. Before we selected a contractor or even knew what we were going to do, Mrs. Kalmin took our ideas and the current styles in our home and turned them into my dream kitchen! They helped my husband and I evaluate and reevaluate the layout and selection of our cabinetry, appliances and lighting. The design of our backsplash was perfect to compliment our color sink choice. Our kitchen feels Just Right!
I recently went to the place with a rear-ended car. I just wanted to let you know that they took excellent care of me. It was refreshing to have such great customer service. He really listened to me and helped me out. He knew exactly what to do with the insurance. I didn't even know that a rental car was an option and he got one for me.
