our plumber, lee, from the newark branch was fantastic. he quickly diagnosed our problem and was able to fix it the same day. however, he did not have all of the parts on his truck and had to leave to get the rest. he was very clean, neat and respectful of my home. i would definitely use roto rooter again.

It was a Saturday night and I was experiencing a sewer line clog. We couldn't use any of the bathrooms or sinks in the house. We called Roto-Rooter hoping someone would be able to come out to help. The service given was exceptional. The workmen were professional, courteous, helpful and knowledgable. The work was done efficiently and everything was in working order in a timely manner. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all of your needs.

we had gas-leak in our basement, PSEG came three times finding three valves need repairing. We called Roto-rooter, and made an appointment for free estimation. Plumber came on time, and checked our basement thoroughly, and found another issue about our water heater. He showed us the price, and also gave us 20 percent discount for the second and third valve replacement. He also accepted the $40 web coupon. The plubmer is professional, according to the talk and the issue of our water heater. We decided to let him do the job. In three hours, work was done, and he also brushed some liquid on the connections of gas pipe to make sure there was no leaking. It has been one week since the replacements, the air in basement is fresh, and no odd smell any more. We highly recommend Roto-rooter for the plumbing.

Our sewer line started backing up into the basement shower on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I was in a panic that we'd never find someone, or that we'd pay through the nose for emergency service on a holiday. But I called Roto Rooter, and they arrives in less than an hour and snaked it. Price was reasonable considering the circumstances. Not sure we really need the very expensive power-washing he suggested though...

Roto-Rooter is a godsend! My kitchen sink was so backed up, I had no idea what to do. I decided to call to make an appointment using the Newark number. They came THAT DAY and fixed it within a few hours of me calling. The tech worked non-stop until the drain was completely clear and running perfectly! He was very friendly and kind as well. Professional and curtious, cleaned up any water that was on the floor. Well worth the phone call and I would highly recommend them.

I was about to take a shower when I heard my wife scream for me, she was in the basement, she had flushed the toilet to check if it was working properly, this one overflows at least once a year during rainy season. So the toilet overflowed.
I tried to stop the water and in the process broke the buoyancy ball.
so with water every where, I managed to close the water valve.

I used the 25 ft auger, no use, then I picked up a 50 ft auger in Home Depot, still no use, I called roto rooter, they were the fastest, to get in, it turns out I had ton of toilet paper blocking the main sewage line, Roto rooter cleaned the sewage trap to the street and the house.

They advised me on the type of toilet paper to use, and gave me tips on water main valve which was dripping.

at 350 for cleaning sewer line I thing the price was right.
I would recommend them to any one.

Roto Rooter will be my first and only choice for a plumber from here on out. I was completely impressed with the entire experience from start to finish. The first phone call I made to them on a Sunday morning was very professional and the woman who answered the call was compassionate and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. We had a shower drain backup and couldn't get our snake down far enough to clear it. The plumber was at my house within an hour and had the drain cleared in less than 30 minutes. I am very pleased with the service received from Roto-Rooter. After a run around from several other plumbers and some very expensve estimates, we called Roto-Rooter. Within 60 minutes we had a tech to the house and the problem resolved. And we saved more than half of what the other estimates were. Thank you Roto Rooter for all your years of service. Service man showed up on time, was polite, neat and cleaned up after himself. We needed our sewer line cleaned out. The local plumber quoted us $500. Roto Rooter for the same service was $366 and then let us use a $40 coupon. Would use again,

Our sewer main backed up on Sunday April 3, 2011 . I tried everything to open it up. I had the same trouble 3 years ago and was able to open it. I tried for 4 hours to no avail. Time to call a plumber. I finally called Roto- Rooter Newark at 8pm on a Sunday. I was shocked that they were there in less than an hour and did a fantastic job. I even got a warranty! The serviceman was polite and professional. I will definitely call again should the problem arise down the road.

I was doing laundry and heard water running, I thought it was the washing machine, but it turned out to be the toilet overflowing. I had water everywhere. I called Roto-Rooter and wihin the hour they were at my house and figured out what the problem was and fixed it. The gentleman that came to the house was very knowledgable and extremely nice, we couldn't have asked for a better repairman.

Plumber, Newark, NJ. Hot water heater was leaking an it needed to be replaced and brought up to code. The technician, Chris, came when he was expected - and worked all day to get the job right (he had to change the vent pipes from 3-in to 4-in and had to chip away at the chimney to make it happen). FANTASTIC!!! Our plumber (actually, drain specialist) was John Winfield (#2429). He was GREAT! It was a little pricey for us, but we were VERY satisfied with the service. John was effiicient, clean, and helpful. He fixed our tub drain quickly, and educated us on how to care for our drains throughout the house. He patiently answered questions, and obviously took pride in his work. On top of that, he had a terrific sense of humor. We'd call him again in a heartbeat (but hopefully won't have to!)

We had a problem with our bathroom and when we called Roto Rooter, they were very professional and came in at the time that they commited. The person who came to my house was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the cost and the procedures that he will perform. We live in Maplewood and the service we received from the Michael and Jimmy was exceptional. Not only did they review all of our options, they suggested the best course of action based on their assessment of our issue as our plumber. My wife was home with our baby, and they were courteous, professional and even took the time to re-review the issue and potential options with me over the phone. Unbelievably FAST service! I live in Newark and had a huge mess in my basement with 4" of water. A professional plumber (John) was at my property within 45 minutes of my phone call. I have had many floods and sewer problems throughout the years and I have to admit that this was the best service I received to date. The tech was VERY knowledgeable and his friendliness was a definite PLUS! John gave us many pointers and suggestions. Congrats to Roto-Rooter! Very impressive!

The tech Arron, from Roto-Rooter, acknowledge the problem and explained to me what it was and the steps required to fix it. I was satisfied and felt in good hands as he went with me step by step on the measures of the problem being fixed . He was very professional and worked in a timely manner as he fixed the drain. It was late Saterday night I had just gotten home and my husband told me that we had sewer in the basement. What were we going to do I had 9 people coming for dinner on Sunday. So Sunday morning at 7 AM I called Roto-Rooter. They were wonderful. By 10 AM I had them in my driveway. He came in very professional and by 11 AM our clog was gone and we were able to clean the basement up to get rid of the smell. And we were able to greet our guest later in the afternoon. Roto Rooter was a real life saver.

We had experienced a sewer back up problem for several days that we could not resolve on our own. Being a church and a day care center, it was extremely important that we get this situation corrected immediately. On Wednesday evening, 2-23-2011, we called Roto-Rooter & Drain Services from the Newark, NJ location. He arrived within a short time and efficiently solved the problem. I had rotor-rooter come by to help splve a problem I was dealing with for a week or so. After attempting to fix it myself, I contacted rotor-rooter for an estimate. Today I had the opportunity to use the services of Roto Rooter from Newark, NJ. The plumbers were 2 gentlemen that were very professional, well groomed and well spoken. They very quickly determined what the problem was, offered an estimate and proceeded to do the job in a professional manner. After clearing the line, they used a video procedure to make certain that the line was clear. They also offered tips for preventative maintenance which I found very helpful. Though my situation was not very pleasant, the gentlemen made me feel at ease and quickly took care of the problem. I would highly recommend them to others.

I Would like to say the Technician Mario (1329) is a very good plumber and he takes his job seriously. Mario is a dedicate plumber and he should be nominated and get a raise because he gets the job done and is also quick.

I want to begin by saying that Mario is the best plumber in Newark. As he said, "I don't give up easy" and thank goodness he didn't. I called because my sump pump drain was creating a mini swimming pool in my lawn. As soon as Mario arrived he told me it was probably roots clogging the drain. He used a power snake and went up from the street side 3 times but that didn't work. He then decided to go in the opposite direction and it worked. Keep in mind the lawn had a good 6 inches of snow/ice on it but that didn't stop him. We had to manuver around the snow and ice and then dig down to the drain but he got the job done. Roto-Rooter and Mario are the best.
