these guys are a waste of time. i had a bike for sale on craigslist, for $4500 o.b.o. these guys call me and want to check it out, so i load it in the truck, and take it out there. keep in mind, i live in oakley(a little over an hour away), when i get there, they like the bike, but low ball me down to $3200. i decline their offer, and 2 weeks later, im still sitting on the bike, so i bite the bullet, and decide to take them up on the offer. i called them to verify the offer was still good, and they said yes, so on my next day off, i load up the bike again, take it all the way out there, and they have the nerve to tell me, they can only offer $2800!!!! i will besure to tell everyone i know, not to waste their time with these guys. i am very upset!( this site wont let me use the words i would realy like to say)

I cannot believe how rude the staff are. They are pushy and sarcastic if you don't buy immediately on their say so.

Unhelpful, Unwilling to negotiate at all even when they are over priced.

Not a place for doing business...
Go test the bikes but buy them somewhere else!

They have a great location, makes it comfortable to reach any time you are in the city.
They have a nice inventory of bike and accessories.

But they have the worst kind of service you can ask for !
I wanted to buy a windshield that cost $99.
When I asked them to install it for me the quote for that was $150 ?!
now tell me how this makes sense???

and this is not the only time I had bad experience with golden gate cycles....
I came back to replace some damaged merchandise and there was not will to help from these guys....
But I learned, never going back again

After giving a great deal quote over the phone, this saleperson could not be located when we arived at the shop.

'Chris' the young arrogent salesboy knew little about the bike specifications, made up answers he didn't know and went off onto some poorly writen sales script instead of listeneng to what we wanted.

Eventially the manager quoted $2000 over the original phone quote for a cash sale (even though they were pushy to finance the bike). This was $1000 over a competitors newspaper advertisment for the exact same motorcycle. They said they would be losing money to sell any cheaper!

They took personal details & copy of licence photo and would not return those documents when we were leaving.

We purchased the bike form the competitor who was knowledgable, friendly and discounted the additional warranty & service plan. They rang back later in the day & dropped the price $500!

Check out Marin Cycleworks if you're in the market for a reputable Suzuki dealer.

It was a month before christmas and my husband & I decided to purchase our son and daughter their own dirt bikes. We were paying cash so it was a done deal all we had to do was pick out the bikes. We had a young salesperson whom at every question we had didn't know the answer. He would run to his supervisor each time we had a question. They also told us they had both of them in stock. We had made arrangement to pick them up a week before Christmas because where are you gonna hide 2 motorcycles? We found out that only one of the bikes were available and that they were still waiting for the smaller bike to arrive from the warehouse. I was very upset because how could we give one bike to one of our kids and not the other. You cant say .. OH .. yours is coming!!! They were forced to trade with another dealer so that we can have my sons bike before christmas.
