No reservations. First come, first serve. Short menu, simple ingredients. Amazing quality. This is the kind of place that is is focused on quality pizza making. The place is run by a couple -- their moped and motorcycle parked in front.

When you first walk in, you know they're serious about pizza. You're greeted by what looks like a stage for a pizza maker and his back up band, the OVEN. He's cranking out pizzas whilst the rest of us sits and watches the show. Speaking of which, there was a live band the night we went playing surfer music. I love the tall ceilings, the energy, and the hostess (the wife).

My favorite is the smoked cheese pizza. If you're on a double-date, order 3 pizzas (only one size) and a bottle of wine or two. Excellent crust.

As I write this, I realize I can't wait to go back and often. The only drawback is that they're open just 4 days a week! Wed-Saturday.

If you love New York pizza, come here. Though the price per pie might scare you back to the east coast ($20 each).
