Message from The Body Mechanic

The Body Mechanic, also known as Thomas Wells, is a respected bodyworker, personal trainer and sports massage therapist in Santa Rosa and in the rest of Sonoma County. He uses active release technique, craniosacral therapy, active release therapy, physical therapy, sports massage, deep tissue massage to help improve his patients mobility. His general approach consists of four elements: First, he use cutting-edge assessment techniques such as SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) and others to determine the nature of the dysfunction. Second, he restores normal movement of the tissues using a structural modality such as Active Release Technieque (ART ). Third, he restores normal function to the tissues using neurological techniques such as Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR ) or NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT ). Last, he prescribes corrective exercises to restore full strength and get the body working better than ever. There are other techniques he employ on an as needed basis. Thomas Wells has over 20,000 client hours of experience working with and improving the function of the human body. He is a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist (certification #27097), a sports massage therapist , and a nationally and internationally certified personal trainer. Thomas has also served as an adjunct instructor of Advanced Functional Anatomy at the Alive and Well Institute of Conscious Bodywork
