I joined AK Crossfit 1.5 years ago and have loved it every since. It is unique to me because with my membership to Crossfit I also get to do the Kickboxing classes and could do Karate and bootcamp if I had time...I love the organization and the attention they give to me. If I miss a couple of days because of laziness they always email me to check in and make sure I am coming in! I receive alot of attention just the same as having a personal trainer checking my form and pushing me to go the extra distance. Also, everyone in the gym is very nice and there are no egos and everyone gets along as a team and we all perform the WODs to the most of our abilities. AK Crossfit is the best place I have ever worked out at.

I joined Crossfit because I was looking for something more challenging outside of my regular fitness routine. I sought out AK Crossfit in particular because I wanted a gym closer to home but ended up getting much more than just a place around the corner where I could work out. I was hooked on my first visit?and it was solely due to the amazing AK Crossfit staff! The trainers are an incredible group of people who will make you feel genuinely welcome and comfortable the moment you walk through the door - no matter your level of fitness or experience. Newcomers are immediately put at ease by the AK Crossfit staff who will cheer you on throughout your workouts. The exercises (WODs) are demonstrated and explained thoroughly and the trainers observe closely to ensure proper form is being used to prevent injury. Workouts are short but intense and you??ll have a great sense of accomplishment when you??ve finished! I??ve been going for a little over a month and have already noticed results. I can??t say enough good things about AK Crossfit; it??s a wonderful atmosphere of encouragement and camaraderie and you??ll sense the spirit of community the moment you walk through the door. AK CrossFit is amazing! They helped my now husband and I get in shape for our wedding and they were beyond helpful with advice and tips.. i literally lost my muffin top (aka spare tire) in 5 weeks. Best quote ever about crossfit "I use to want the lbs on the scale to decrease, now I watch them increase on the bar..." AK CrossFit the best in Atlanta, for sure!

CrossFit has been a great way to build strength, tone and improve endurance. The short workouts are effective and provide me time to continue with my cardio routine, so I get the best of both worlds. The instructors at AK CrossFit are knowledgeable and make coming to class fun. Exercises are demonstrated and are fully explained before the daily workout (WOD) begins and they focus on watching and correcting form as it is being completed. They even check-in when you've missed a few classes to make sure everything is OK! I have recommended and will continue to recommend AK CrossFit to anyone looking for a fun, challenging and effective weight program.

I've only been going to AK CrossFit for four months but it's been a great experience to so far. I was in reasonable shape when I started having gone to BootCamp on and off for the past year. However, when I started checking the "over 45" box I realized I was losing upper body strength. I had gone to regular gyms in the past and I really didn't like the atmosphere. AK CrossFit is awesome. The staff is great; encouraging and willing to give you individual attention. The other attendees are easygoing...no staring in the mirror at themselves. The workouts are intense and I hurt most of the time the day after. Flexible schedule. Never the same thing twice. Do it.

I was *very* skeptical of Crossfit and questioned and harassed the trainers every step of my introductory classes. But the more I pestered them, the more they responded with patient, thorough explanations (that not only made sense, but actually made me laugh? :) ). And during the time I felt like I was still ??figuring out? Crossfit?I dropped a dress size! Because of my hectic work schedule, I only make it to Crossfit twice a week?and I STILL have amazing results. The style of weight training was unlike anything I had done with personal trainers in the past, and workouts were never more than 30 mins. Not only are you receiving close, personalized attention by experienced trainers, but you are also joining a support group of other members who are there for the same reasons. Everyone is eager to make new-comers feel welcome and not intimidated by the workout process. If you are not in the market to make friends along the way, this gym may not be for you!

AK Crossfit is without a doubt the best gym and program I have ever experienced. The workouts are short, intense, varied, and very effective. The staff does an amazing job of training, and then is there to support you every step of the (extremely challenging) way! They do an excellent job of stretching you to your limits, whatever your personal level of fitness may be. I have been a member of AK CrossFit for about a year, and have never been in this kind of shape! Hands down, this is the most effective workout you can do, in the least amount of time!
Try AK Crossfit. Your body will scream first, and thank you later!

I did not feel intimidated at this gym the way I have in other gyms. The instructors were friendly and explained everything I needed to know. I have never been "into" fitness and didn't have much experience with this type of exercise so this made a big difference to me. I travel a lot and even after a month I felt much stronger and my independent work outs on trips were easier and more rewarding. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the work outs, especially the olympic style weightlifting. If you can only do one type of work out AK Crossfit definitely has it all.

AK Crossfit has been absolutely incredible over the first 3 months I have been there. Being a beginner, you feel right at home because the staff gets to know your strengths and weaknesses as well as wll getting to know you on a personal basis. The workouts are 30 minutes in length but are intense and tough. The staff is incredibly dedicated to improve your form, techniques, eating habits and are great with their constant encouragement makes you want to get better.

I believe the best part about AK is that you want to push yourself to limits you may never have thought you had.

I would recommend anyone to AK Crossfit whether you are a beginner or expert because of all the above factors.

The trainers encourage the beginners from day one. As a beginner you start in the "Foundation Class", which is great because you learn the basics. Once you learn the basics you can adjust the WOD to fit your ability. The trainers are fabulous - constant encouragement. You are constantly progressing and it is NEVER boring.

Crossfit is the best overall workout, hands down. You don't have to be an elite powerlifter to do crossfit, it's for anyone that wants a brief workout that will literally kick your butt. At AK Crossfit, you'll be trained on the proper movements that are easy to learn in a safe manner and the staff are always there to coach you. The results are limitless and you will always be challenged. You will not be bored with doing the same workouts at AK Crossfit, sometimes it will be a year before you repeat one. I encourage anyone that wants to take their fitness to the next level or is new to exercising, to give AK Crossfit a try. Thanks AK Crossfit for helping me achieve and exceed so many things I thought I never could accomplish. I cannot imagine life without crossfit. Women don't worry about "bulking" up, you'll be toned, lean, and in the best shape of your life. I'm proud of my "guns"!
